Application Production Support, Analyst - Global Banking IT
Main responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for applications on server environments, handling incidents, problems, and change requests in accordance with ITIL best‑practice processes.
- Configure Operating system to support the application as Windows and Linux, setting up services, files, batches, jobs.
- Install, configure, and maintain middleware, application servers, and related components (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss).
- Deploy and manage build pipelines using Jenkins – create jobs, configure credentials, and troubleshoot failures.
- Perform routine and ad‑hoc SQL scripting (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, stored procedures) to support application diagnostics and data extraction.
- Write and maintain PowerShell and batch scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks and integrate disparate systems.
- Analyse complex issues, including TCP/IP communication flows, to identify and resolve integration problems between applications and services.
- Operate cloud platforms (internal‑cloud like services and marketplace solutions) as an end‑user: provision resources, manage access, and track usage.
- Monitor system health using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Dynatrace) and generate actionable alerts and reports.
- Make the bridge with Tier 3 support as Infrastructure or Development teams
- Contribute to documentation (run‑books, knowledge‑base articles) and support continuous‑improvement initiatives in the support function.
Position requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- Experience in Support teams.
- Intermediate English speaker and writer.
- Knowledge of Operating systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL foundation.
- Knowledge of Scripting (PowerShell, Batch, Shell, Python).
- Knowledge of relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, and SQL along with MQ Series.
- Experience on Cloud-like environments.
- Experience on monitoring tool.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Service oriented, positive, committed, available and enthusiastic team player.
- Related certifications is a plus.
- Communication, collaborative teamwork.
