MISSION
To develop the role and functions of the Watchtower in order to monitor risk within the Trade EMEA perimeter.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational risk monitoring for EMEA Traditional Trade Operations:
- Ensuring constant risk monitoring of the Trade Finance EMEA perimeter: analyzing control results, independent testing in the event of repeated incidents and/or unsatisfactory control results, analyzing incidents and following up action plans, etc.
- Verifying the control set-up of each entity (review of the GCL TT) in the event of a change of organization or a request for modification and ensuring that C5/C4 controls are properly implemented.
- Define and establish governance for MEA and isolated countries, based on the governance model established for the TFSC.
- Produce specific Watchtower reports in response to management requests (Claims, Ndod, Historical Incidents, etc.).
Data quality Follow up
- Ensure that the data booked into the production tools is consistent with the data in ATLAS2. Carry out quarterly monitoring at a minimum and monitor the action plans of the operations teams.
- Report Dashboard bugs to the IT teams.
Performance monitoring
- Ensure consistency and effectiveness of the operations processes
- Ensure ITO E2E performance are in line with SLA defined with local sites
- Contribute to Operations KPI’s definition & monitoring
Advising
- Provide assistance and advice in terms of risk to the Trade Finance EMEA community.
- Support countries during the RCSA exercise thanks to Watchtower's global view of the perimeter.
- Support the regions in implementing new C5/C4 controls.
Governance and coordination
- Organizing a monthly/Bimonthly committee for Ops management in Madrid
- Organizing of a bi-annual risk monitoring meeting for the Trade Finance EMEA community.
Projects
- Work in partnership with Central OPC and GTO on joint projects
- Study and compare the different processes between countries in order to highlight any inadequacies/advantages to management.
