Job Title: Vice President, Sales Trader
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Automate Internal Report by Outlook API in python to monitor desk risk exposure in Margin, FX, Corporate Action, etc. Develop webpage User Interface with Ipywidgets to monitor fill rate and usage rate of hard to borrow security by client. Conduct PnL analysis and rerate high borrow cost stocks and bonds daily to improve return on balance. Build swap intraday flow recap to borrow hard to borrow securities timely with more competitive rate. Generate focus list by python and write algorithm to optimize allocation of our scarce resources across clients. Analyze short interest movement by security with Bloomberg and send market color from stock loan perspective. Monitor market share to evaluate our performance with Markit Excel Addin and Datalend API. Create Learning and Development SharePoint to consolidate market knowledge of individual stocks. Construct spread curve for financing accruals and fine tune the parameters to balance return and revenue. Enhance locate rate model with big data analytics skills to improve internalization and market share. Produce convertible bond related reports to provide clients with directional short interest estimate.
SALARY: $225,000 – $240,000/ year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Financial Engineering and one (1) year of experience in Securities Lending / Quantitative Finance. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: Utilizing Python to conduct big data analysis for making strategic trading decisions; Retrieving and visualizing historical bond price data with Bloomberg API and Matplotlib; Developing webpage User Interface with Ipywidgets for scenario testing; Automating risk limit reports by Outlook API; Building pricer to calculate margin with Excel VBA; and allocating and explaining RWA Consumption for Management of Equities and Fixed Income with Pivot Table and PowerPoint.
