Job Title: Vice President, Rapid Application Developer

Location: 787 7th Ave, New York, NY 10019

Duties: Work within the RAD (Rapid Application Development) team, which covers both Global Credit and Macro business lines with a focus on Fixed Income products, with includes but is not limited to Options, Exotics, FX, Inflation, Emerging Markets. Swaps, Bonds, Repo across New York and LATAM regions. In this highly visible, front-office-facing role, will be responsible for developing and providing front-line support for risk and P&L tools used by fixed-income trading desks across the Americas, with a focus on tactical rapid delivery. Play a pivotal role in software development, delivering timely management reports and collaborating to ensure the development, support, and maintenance of RAD systems while complying with IT governance. Contribute to system stability, maintain quality, mitigate operational risk, and coordinate data transfer with external providers. Contribute to stability and performance of applicable IT systems by always considering the impact of changes and post release, collaborating closely with trading, sales, business management, regulatory, quantitative research, application support, back office, and operations to implement tactical and strategic solutions for improved application performance. Plan, execute, test, and deploy software updates and enhancements to meet business requirements, with appropriate segregation of development and production to ensure error-free operation.   *Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York City NY.

SALARY: $158,791 - $200,000/ year

Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role OR Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience (or 3 with Masters) with Rapid Application Development (RAD) or a front-office facing occupation with a focus on Fixed Income products within an international bank or international financial services organization. Must have three (3) years of experience with: as Vice President, Rapid Application Developer (RAD) or a front-office facing occupation with a deep knowledge on Fixed Income instruments within an international bank or international financial services organization; Deep knowledge of fixed income instruments and derivatives, including, but not limited to Interest Rates Swaps, Options, Exotics, FX, Inflation, Emerging Markets, Swaps, Bonds, Repo products across New York and LATAM region; Leveraging software development in SQL, Python (Including scientific packages), Excel/VBA, and DevOps tools; Building and maintaining software reporting tools; Conducting research and drafting presentations Addressing IT governance within systems, considering enhancement and solution, identifying root causes of operational incidents, proposing both tactical and mitigation strategies, presenting to quantitative-research, middle-office, front-office sales and trading teams within the context of Risk and PnL; Performing data analysis and visualization to help stakeholders make data -driven decisions; and Develop Risk and PnL tools and provide analysis and support for fixed income trading desk within Americas region.
