Team Manager Logistics – Flex

You report to the Logistics Manager within the Vehicle & Logistics Department. This department comprises the logistics team and the Flex team. You work with your fellow Logistics team manager and the officers of the Flex team on a daily basis.  

The Flex team offers flexible mobility solutions at a competitive price. The customer determines the term and the desired category of car. Arval then delivers a car from the chosen category within a short time window. In addition to offering medium-term mobility solutions, Arval provides a short-term option. These are ambitious goals and, in striving to meet them, we are able to offer excellent customer service with the requisite knowledge, organisational skills and drive.

The aim is to offer our customers a smooth service when it comes to:

  • Overseeing operational contracts from delivery to collection
  • Optimising the utilisation rate of the customer's own fleet
  • Contacts with external suppliers/partners
  • Seamless administration and invoicing
  • Close collaboration with account and business managers
  • Professional handling of questions from our external customers (drivers & fleet managers).


Your responsibilities as a team manager

  • You are the driving force behind your team: you are responsible for coaching, motivating and developing your team members. The aim is to achieve the team’s objectives together while creating a positive working environment.
  • You coach your team members, give constructive feedback and encourage their personal and professional development. You set clear objectives, monitor progress and make adjustments where necessary to reach your targets.
  • You create a positive, open working environment based on collaboration and communication. As a coach, you foster a lessons-learned/feedback culture within your team. You focus on the growth and ownership of your team members.
  • You have a change mindset and seek to develop a Flex 2.0 organisation. Part of this involves focusing on process optimisation: you identify areas for improvement in processes and implement efficient solutions together with one or more team members. You support your team in this change story, because they are the driving force behind the changes. You guide and support the team in implementing projects.
  • You analyse performance data and report your findings to your manager.
  • You drive customer satisfaction by providing input to increase efficiency and pursuing cost control and customer satisfaction initiatives. You actively work to improve and optimise processes.
  • You support the team in meetings with suppliers so as to protect the interests of our customers, drivers and Arval and to develop solutions.

Your profile

  • You are driven by a desire to coach and mentor your team members, with a focus on people. Communication and coaching skills are second nature to you. 
  • You are result-oriented and proactive, and you have a hands-on mentality.
  • You are analytical and creative in your approach to solving problems.
  • You are a positive coach who works to build a lessons learned/feedback culture.
  • You have good knowledge of operational leasing. 
  • Customer focus is an important driving force for you: this applies to the decisions you take, which are intended to add value for the customer. 
  • You are interested in mobility solutions and follow market trends.
  • You preferably have experience in negotiations. You know how to assist the team in getting processes moving with our suppliers.
  • Experience in the principles of project management is another asset. This experience is applied primarily to supporting the team.
