About this opportunity

Are you passionate about creating impactful events, are highly organized and have experience from working in the financial sector towards corporate clients? We are seeking a dynamic Events Manager to join our team!

You will be a part of our core Nordic communications team for BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking and the BNP Paribas Group in the Nordic region which today consists of three people.

The mission of the team is to enhance and protect the reputation and brand of BNP Paribas in the Nordic region, through marketing and communications activities directed towards the company’s various internal and external stakeholders.

The team works closely with many internal partners, including senior leadership, the Nordic HR team and regularly coordinates closely with other members of BNP Paribas’ teams across the globe.

Main scope of the role

Responsible for planning and organizing events connected to the business, the company’s sponsorships and partnerships, and employer branding related initiatives for BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional banking the Nordic region, and for BNP Paribas Group level initiatives in the Nordic region. 

Coordinate all operations and promotional activities of the event

Make sure internal policies, procedures and guidelines are followed connected to events, and necessary approvals are collected.

What you will do

  • Plan events from start to finish according to requirements and objectives
  • Prepare event budgets and ensure adherence
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers relating to rental of venues, catering, and branding material
  • Identify branding opportunities connected to each event 
  • Draft texts to event invitations, reminders and follow-up emails 
  • Collect and manage invitation lists and send out invitations, reminders and follow up emails.
  • Project manage events on site and set up event related material such as exhibition stands and branding at the venue. (May include travel to other countries within the Nordic region)
  • Welcome and sign-in guests at the events
  • Organize and lead briefing calls with client facing teams that are inviting clients and attending the events to provide an overview of the set up, share instructions, and answers questions
  • Ensure that the event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Make sure internal policies, procedures and guidelines are followed connected to events, and necessary approvals are collected
  • Analyze the event’s success, collect feedback from relevant stakeholders and prepare reports
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success and ideas for new event concepts

Relevant experience and requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in working with business administration, hospitality, or events in the Financial Services sector, or documented experience from working with events towards corporate or institutional clients
  • Excellent communication skills delivering messages to internal and external audiences 
  • Positive and energetic personality
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking ability
  • Comfortable with welcoming clients as a host
  • Excellent English skills and fluent in one other Nordic language 
  • Experience from working at a large global organization and/ or towards several countries in the Nordic region is a plus


 Location:


 Preferred location is Stockholm but the position could potentially also be based in Copenhagen or Oslo.
