FRS is part of the IT Group organization (ITG in Europe and ITO overseas) with a threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance and RISK (CIB-ITO; RISK Solutions and ITG-FIT).
Position Purpose:
XGEN is an application used to control and transform data into the format expected by regulators. It contributes to the production of the Group financial reporting for banking and market authorities.
The application is continuously evolving from both a technical and functional perspective in order to address frequent regulatory changes requested by supervisory and regulatory authorities.
The candidate will join the ITG-ITTF-SDE team and will contribute to the implementation, maintenance and evolution of XGEN. The role will mainly involve analysis, technical design, SSIS development, SQL development, testing, documentation and production support.
The candidate will work closely with French & Indian teams, business analysts, production teams and development teams in an international environment.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret business and technical specifications received from business analysts or application leads.
- Liaise with business analysts and development teams to ensure a clear understanding and correct implementation of requirements.
- Design, develop and maintain SSIS packages used by XGEN.
- Develop and maintain SQL components, including queries, scripts, stored procedures and data transformation logic.
- Contribute to technical design and propose solutions adapted to business and regulatory needs.
- Participate in testing phases, including technical tests, regression tests and support to user acceptance testing.
- Analyze data and investigate discrepancies linked to regulatory reporting processes.
- Analyze and correct incidents in collaboration with Production and Development teams.
- Provide technical support during reporting closing periods, including on-call support when required.
- Follow up technical operations on environments, including obsolescence management, security actions and environment stability.
- Follow up and validate application deliveries.
- Ensure high-quality developments in line with BNP Paribas standards, including DevOps tooling and coding best practices.
- Contribute to application performance improvement and technical reliability.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Support the one team approach between ISPL, Paris teams, Business Analysts, QA, Production and application stakeholders.
- Participate in documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies

- Strong expertise in SSIS / Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
- Strong expertise in SQL.
- Strong knowledge of C# development.
- Good knowledge of Shell scripting.

Preferred / Additional
- Knowledge of DevOps toolchain and deployment practices.

- Experience with production support and incident management.
- Knowledge of Finance, General Accounting or Financial Reporting would be a plus.

Specific Qualifications:
- Education Level - master’s degree or equivalent
- Experience Level - At least 5 to 7 years, depending on grade
- Language - Fluent English required, due to extended team collaboration between India and Paris
- Previous Experience - Experience in Finance, Banking or Regulatory Reporting would be advantageous
