- The Securitization Senior Portfolio Analyst’s mission is to be responsible for the annual and administrative review process of files/activities as well as new and ad-hoc requests and portfolio reviews, covering the credit and counterparty risks taken primarily by Global Markets within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), originated in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Americas and Asia and Pacific (APAC) regions (Asset Finance and Securitization/Securitized Products Group team or Balance Guaranteed Swap Desk)
Your Main Activities Are
- Securitization Analysis: analyze and assess/review the market, credit, funding liquidity and structural risks taken on existing or new securitization related transactions, originated in Europe, United States (US) and APAC, under EMEA and Americas RISK Corporate Securitization responsibility
- Permanent Control: apply the relevant risk policies of the bank applicable to this segment; direct contribution to BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework; understanding the abilities and limitations of the standard operational/booking framework for the segment covered; from a risk oversight perspective, ensure that the necessary portfolio reviews are properly conducted by the respective business sponsors in a timely manner. If necessary, undertake projects to address specific issues regarding securitization related transactions, and be responsible for generating reports on the securitization transactions for both internal and external purposes and take responsibility for ensuring consistency of approach and data integrity. Participate in the definition of the risk management framework for the existing portfolio
- Innovation: participate in innovation initiatives for RISK Corporate Securitization globally (ideation/Proof of Concept (POC) testing), which may revolve around Natural Language Generation from unstructured format, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Visualization Reporting; contributing to projects improving processes from an operational efficiency perspective or enhancing our risk management capabilities through innovative technology-led solutions
- Credit Analysis: analysis and recommendation of decision for existing or new files (securitization and related exposures/structures using securitization techniques) originated by the Asset Finance and Securitization (AFS) / Securitized Products Group (SPG) platform within Global Markets); conduct own independent evaluation of the risks, including constructively challenging business assumptions, their risk analysis including rating proposals and regulatory capital inputs; perform all necessary credit approval related functions, prepare RISK memo, agenda and minutes of credit committees and resolve necessary follow-up/open items/conditions of approval. Participate, if necessary, in risk due diligence meetings (on-site or remotely) with clients and servicers. Undertaking portfolio reviews
- Coach more junior team members and provide training
- Support new projects and initiatives
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics or related
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis / Advisory or similar
- Relevant experience on Credit analysis in Securitization, Corporate or FI
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to deliver / results driven
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Creativity and innovation / problem solving
- Critical thinking
