Business Area overview
RISK is an integrated and independent control Function of the BNP Paribas Group. It is the second line of defence on the risk management activities of the Group which are under its direct responsibilities, including credit and counterparty risk, market risk, funding and liquidity risk, interest rate and foreign exchange risks in the banking book, insurance risk, operational risk and environmental and social risks.
RISK aims at being a partner of the businesses by contributing to their sustainable development, but also a gatekeeper to ensure risks taken remain compatible with the Group’s Risk Appetite and its strategy. RISK teams engage in an upstream dialogue with businesses to better understand their strategy, objectives and then they express their opinions and recommendations.
RISK Shoring Office is part of RISK Consulting & Transformation and is in charge of steering RISK development of activities in its international Hubs, in line with BNP Paribas and RISK ambitions.
RISK Shoring Office mission is to provide advice on end-to-end processes for intragroup outsourcing activities, in line with the regulation and Group procedures, which involves a high visibility and direct contact with internal clients inside an international and dynamic environment.
RISK Shoring Office is looking for people with passion for the Banking sector and the risks framework. People who will contribute to RISK growth, strategic transformation and processes/resources optimization.
RISK Shoring Office reports and supports the Global RISK Hubs Coordinator in the RISK strategy design and in the development and deployment of operating models in the RISK Hubs worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
· Support RISK Shoring Office in its initiatives:
• Contribute to ensure the proper application of the intragroup outsourcing methodology, support the RISK teams in the production of documentation, and coordinate the collection of information and validation process with the Group Control Functions and key
• Perform administrative tasks: scheduling meetings, drafting minutes of the meetings, and other related administrative duties.
· Promote the RISK Consulting & Transformation internal life, especially by endorsing any of the internal initiatives or RISK Consulting workgroups.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Education: Current studying a master’s degree or equivalent.
- Full professional competence (minimum C1) in English (French would be a plus)
- Advance Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced user of data analysis/visualisation tools (PowerBI) is also a plus
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, client oriented, collaborative / Teamwork
