Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Controls Analyst / Associate Manager / Associate Vice President Department:

CIB Markets Ops - Valuation & Transversal Services -Regulatory Reporting About Business line/Function: The Regulatory Reporting team within BNP Paribas India Solutions supports the Group’s (CIB) franchise. It is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory reports across Europe and globally. In the wake of recent regulations, the team ensures that all trade capture, position keeping, and transaction level data are correctly processed, validated, and reported to the relevant European regulators (e.g., ESMA, national competent authorities) and internal risk control functions Position Purpose: The Regulatory Reporting & Operations Analyst / Associate Manager / Associate Vice President will own the end‑to‑end processing of regulatory reporting data, from trade capture to final submission. The role combines deep knowledge of reporting requirements (e.g., Transaction Reporting, Transparency, Position Reporting, and Market Abuse) with strong operational execution skills to guarantee data quality, meet strict filing deadlines, and continuously improve the reporting processing chain.

Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities

· Regulatory Report Production: Generate, validate and submit reports (Transaction Reporting, Transparency, Position Reporting, and related filings) to the appropriate regulator portals within prescribed windows.

· Quality Assurance: Perform data quality checks, reconcile mismatches, and execute exception handling procedures in line with BNP Paribas internal policies and European regulator expectations.

· Regulatory Change Management: Monitor EU legislative updates (ESMA Guidelines, FCA updates, etc.), assess impact on reporting logic, and implement required changes in the reporting engine.

· Process Automation: To support IT team to design, develop to streamline data collection, enrichment, and filing steps, reducing manual effort.

· Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with Front Office traders, Middle Office risk teams, Legal, Compliance, and IT to resolve data gaps, clarify reporting rules, and ensure alignment on reporting timelines.

· Regulatory Audits & Controls: Prepare audit evidence, respond to supervisory queries, and support internal control testing (e.g., ICT, OPSRISK. OCRM and IG) for regulatory reporting. Contributing Responsibilities

· Participate in cross functional projects (e.g., implementation of regulatory data lakes, adoption of the EU wide Common Reporting Standard) to improve data lineage and governance.

· Contribute to the development of the Team’s Knowledge Base (process documentation, run books, FAQ) and train junior analysts on reporting requirements and reporting tools.

· Support the quarterly and annual internal reporting packs (regulatory KPI dashboards, reporting efficiency metrics).

· Assist the Global Regulatory Reporting community in sharing best practice templates, scripts, and change management approaches. Technical & Behavioral Competencies

· Regulatory Expertise: In depth understanding of European reporting obligations and related frameworks.

· Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect complex trade structures, identify data gaps, and perform root cause analysis on reporting exceptions.

· Process Orientation: Proven track record of designing repeatable, high quality operational workflows with clear control points

· Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills; capable of translating technical data issues to non technical audiences.

· Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive in suggesting automation, process optimisation, and knowledge sharing initiatives. Specific

Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 to 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting (CFTC/EMIR/HKMA/SFTR/MAS/ASIC / SEC) within a large banking or capital markets environment.

· Demonstrated experience with transaction level data extraction, data quality frameworks, and regulatory filing portals (e.g., ESMA, FCA, BaFin, HKMA, MAS and ASIC).

· Hands on experience in SQL, Python (or similar scripting language), or ETL/automation tool (Alteryx, UiPath, DataIQ) Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

· Regulatory Framework – Transaction Reporting (TR), Transparency Reporting (T+0/T+1), Position Reporting, Market.

· Data Extraction & Manipulation – Advanced SQL, Python (pandas, xml.etree), VBA/Excel for ad hoc analysis.

· ETL/Automation Tools – Alteryx, UiPath, Azure Data Factory, or comparable platforms.

· Regulatory Filing Platforms – ESMA Report, DTCC, Bloomberg EMSX, or other regulator specific portals.

· Data Governance & Quality – Knowledge of data lineage, data quality metrics, reference data management.

Behavioral Skills:

· Attention to Detail – Meticulous approach to data validation and regulatory compliance.

· Problem Solving – Ability to investigate and resolve complex data discrepancies under tight deadlines.

· Effective Communication – Clear articulation of technical concepts to business and compliance partners.

· Adaptability – Comfortable navigating evolving regulatory landscapes and shifting business priorities.

Education Level: Any degree or bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. A master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc Finance, Data Science) is advantageous. Location: Bengaluru, Mumbai, India (Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote)
