About the job

  • The Regulatory Officer within the Regulatory Reform and Client Communication (R2C2) mission consists in supporting new regulations’ implementation with clients and internal reach out campaigns. The Officer needs to have a critical mindset to address the forthcoming stringent regulatory deadlines and ensure CIB’s compliance with all requirements
  • In addition, R2C2’s team performs regulatory maintenance activities and provides support for Tax (FATCA / AEOI), Market Integrity (MIFID II / MIFIR), OTC derivatives regulations (EMIR / CFTC), and any other relevant regulations within CEFSR mandate. The team works closely with Global Markets and Project Managers on repapering projects, ensuring high level expertise and perfect execution of daily management of regulatory activities
  • This role also covers the GUARD pre trade tool remediation, which intends to avoid regulatory breaches

Your Main Activities Are

  • Scope clean up
  • Preparing and setting up the reach out campaigns
  • Updating the tracker and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Monitoring, responding, tracking client queries and chasing clients (in cooperation with other teams – e.g., Legal/Business/Compliance)
  • Collecting and uploading documents into specific platforms
  • Updating the Management on the project’s progress
  • Taking part in calls and meetings
  • Address internal questions from various Lines of Business (Front Office, Middle / Back Office), Operations, among others, on regulatory requirements (via email or phone)
  • Address clients questions on regulatory requirements (via email or phone)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, Finance and Accounting
  • Up to 2 years of Experience in Banking and Financial Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English and French 
  • Ability to develop and adapt a process
  • Analytical Ability
  • Ability to collaborate/Team work
  • Ability to deliver/Results driven
  • Attention to detail/rigor
