Job Title: Assistant Manager – Cloud Automation

Department: IT Production – Tech Office & Expertise 

About Business line/Function: 

The position is focused on process automation of the private cloud that underpins BNP Paribas’ cloud workspace. Thousands of virtual servers are provisioned for a wide portfolio of products, and the service must maintain very high performance and availability for critical business critical workloads.

The role will spend ≈ 75 % of the time designing and governing CI/CD pipelines, performing Python based code reviews, building monitoring solutions for micro service-based applications and handling RPA related incidents. The remaining time will be devoted to designing, developing and deploying new features, fixing defects, validating solutions and promoting new releases into production.

A high learning capacity, strong reactivity, proactive improvement mindset and the ability to follow through on project and incident remediation plans are essential

Position Purpose: 

To design, develop, automate and sustain the CI/CD and monitoring ecosystem for the private cloud platform, ensuring reliable, secure and scalable delivery of micro services and RPA solutions that meet the evolving needs of BNP Paribas’ internal customers.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

•             Develop new micro services (Python, FastAPI) in close collaboration with the Paris development team.

•             Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Helm, Jinja templating) for automated build, test and release cycles.

•             Conduct code reviews and share reusable code snippets, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

•             Implement application and system monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, Sentry, Kibana) for micro service health and performance.

•             Create and support RPA related incident resolution processes; act as the first point of contact for user issues.

•             Produce technical documentation, peer review artefacts and maintain knowledge base entries (Confluence, Git/Bitbucket).

Contributing Responsibilities

•             Participate in API design & management (REST, Curl, Python requests).

•             Work with infrastructure & security tools (Kubernetes, Vault, HashiCorp, CyberArk, Keycloak, Illumio, HA Proxy).

•  Assist in data store administration (MongoDB, PostgreSQL + Timescale, Redis).

•             Support workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow) and visualisation (Superset, Grafana dashboards).

•             Contribute to incident post mortems, root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions.

•             Mentor junior team members and promote best practice sharing across the global delivery ecosystem.
