The Role:
The Pricing Analyst is a critical role supporting the development of pricing strategies for the personal loans business unit during a period of significant business growth, driving increased margin in the personal loans business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of pricing across multiple products, channels, and partners. Continually review effectiveness of pricing and develop recommendations for pricing changes.
- Effectively optimise commercial levers to ensure profitability and fair value.
- Operating within a framework of authority delivering price changes within prescribed mandate
- Ensure that pricing is appropriate for the level of risk for each customer segment by working with Risk to understand expected risk by channel, partner, and customer segment.
- Ensure that pricing changes are implemented to meet representative rate regulatory requirements and in place for promotional activity.
- Daily performance monitoring of relevant KPIs.
- Ensure risks are identified and mitigated while adhering to appropriate controls and processes to meet both internal and regulatory requirements.
- Utilising channel specific pricing analysis, statistical modelling and strategy development to ensure a balance of commercial performance, market competitiveness and customer interests is maintained across highly competitive pricing environments
Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience / background in Pricing, Revenue generation, statistics.
- Experience working with SAS, SQL, or Python. (Desirable)
- Experience in Excel (Key)
- Pricing experience in Financial Services (Desirable).
- Proven knowledge of key drivers of margin through effective pricing.
- Ability to build out profitable pricing models.
- Proven data analysis experience.
