Position Purpose

We are looking for an energetic, proactive & competent candidate to shape the next‑gen settlement engine that processes half‑a‑million OTC derivative trades every day.

Platform is a real‑time multi-asset settlement system covering FX, Equities, Credits, Rates & Commodities.

The system guarantees that every announcement, confirmation, payment and accounting entry is posted within seconds, 24 × 7. As the business expands with ever-evolving settlements perimeter involving CLSNET, CLSMain and their integration with clearing houses.

This application consists of a .NET based front end communicating with backend written in Pro*C, PL/SQL and Python. The Database is Oracle 19c. The backend consists of performance critical processes and batches which implement core of the system. A successful candidate would have a unique opportunity to be part of a global team located across multiple locations (Mumbai, London, Paris & Lisbon) to implement and manage large scale projects. Your work will directly impact the speed, accuracy and regulatory compliance of settlements for a global bank.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·         Lead requirement discovery with front‑office and back‑office users across geographies; capture functional specs using use cases, workflow diagrams and user stories.

·         Translate business needs into test plans; develop test scenarios, coordinate UAT and support user‑acceptance testing.

·         Collaborate with development team to ensure functional coverage and validate test outcomes.

·         Provide Level‑3 support for production incidents; troubleshoot, create work‑arounds and drive root‑cause resolutions.

·         Own end‑to‑end delivery of settlement enhancements: define scope, create a realistic project plan, track milestones and manage risks.

·         Prioritise and negotiate competing demands using a weighted‑scoring model and RACI matrix

·         Facilitate regular steering‑committee & stakeholder‑review meetings with business owners, product managers, technology leads.

·         Identify process improvement opportunities and propose pragmatic solutions to enhance settlement efficiency and control.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Technical

·         12 + years of Business‑Analysis experience in OTC Trade Settlements (FX, Equities, Credit, Rates, Commodities).

  • Deep knowledge of the settlement lifecycle – from booking to back‑office entry and accounting.

·         Strong analytical skills; ability to write SQL queries for data validation.

·         Knowledge of SWIFT messaging framework.

·         Excellent written & verbal communication – can translate complex ideas into clear artefacts.

·         Strong stakeholder‑management – influence senior business leaders, negotiate priorities, and maintain alignment across multiple regions.

·         Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies (Product Owner or Business‑Analyst role).

·         Experience with industry-wide netting/settlement platforms (e.g., CLSNET, CLSMain) is preferred.
