Junior Economist

We are looking for Junior Economist who is willing to join Economic Research team at TEB.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines. A master’s degree in Economics would be an advantage
• Knowledge and experience applying quantitative methods, experience in at least one programming language /statistical software (e.g. Eviews, Python, R)
• Fluent both in written and spoken English
• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g. MS Excel, PowerPoint, other MS office programs)
• Strong analytical thinking and good understanding of economy and markets
• Be proficient in presentation (both in preparing and presenting) and reporting

Job Description:

• Monitoring key economic indicators in Türkiye and world economy
• Preparing daily and monthly reports to be shared with the whole Bank and existing / potential customers
• Preparing the summary notes after data disclosing
• For the BNP Paribas weekly and/or quarterly regular reports, preparing the Türkiye chapter including the projections related to Türkiye.
• Conducting research on macroeconomy, financial markets and banking
• Contributing data collection, analysis and macroeconomic forecasts
• Building economic models for risk scenarios and macroeconomic forecasts
