About the Role

The Payments Allocation Officer reports to the Head of Payments Allocation. The officer is responsible for allocating incoming payments after carrying out the necessary investigations (paper details, phone calls, e‑mails, etc.) to ensure proper matching and to help reduce client outstanding balances. All actions must take into account the subsidiary’s development axes in terms of products and markets and be carried out in a cross‑functional spirit with the other divisions of the subsidiary. The employee must perform the duties responsibly, respecting the Group’s values and convictions – BNP Paribas Code of Conduct – especially the principles of Diversity and Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

    • Identify the accounts and re‑allocate payments when necessary.

    • Manage buyer‑risk by sharing relevant information with other functions (risk, sales, collections, …).

    • Escalate client/buyer complaints and assist in their resolution.

    • Contribute to departmental productivity by suggesting improvements to tools or processes.

    • Adopt a client‑oriented telephone and written communication style at all times.

    • Prefer telephone contact with buyers to obtain details needed for payment allocation.

    • Conduct the investigations required based on inputs from collections, clients, management, etc.

    • Help improve processing times by proposing simplification solutions.

    • Prioritise urgent or atypical requests.

    • Act in line with Compliance instructions regarding Anti‑Money‑Laundering, Terrorist Financing, tax fraud, internal and external corruption, market integrity, banking and tax laws, as well as international financial sanctions and KYC policies.

    • Ensure the company respects the principle of protecting client interests when marketing products and services, by understanding client needs, treating them fairly, and providing clear and accurate information.

    • Behave with ethics and integrity, in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

Profile and Skills for Success

    • Academic degree (preferred) or high‑school diploma (mandatory).

    • Fluency in French (mandatory).

    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in:

        ○ Factoring,

        ○ Middle‑office operations,

        ○ Transaction processing and data entry
