Senior Fullstack Developer (Python & Angular)
ABOUT THE JOB
Join our high-impact AI team within BNP Paribas’s Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division, where we develop and scale a cutting-edge software platform powering the entire corporate credit chain - from origination to monitoring. Used by thousands of employees across 50+ countries since 2019, our platform is a critical backbone for global credit operations.
Depending on your specific expertise, you will be matched with one of our key projects:
- AI & Automation Engine: Work on the frontier of technology by developing an advanced engine utilizing NLP and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) to power our MyCreditApp, as well as building our internal AI agent for automated software development.
- Sustainability Solutions: Contribute to high-scale projects focused on calculating and monitoring the carbon footprint for our global clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing software solutions that align with multi-year product roadmaps and meet evolving project requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (including Data Science specialists) to shape software that meets user expectations and business objectives.
- Ensuring high-quality deliverables through robust test coverage (TDD), rigorous code reviews, and adherence to modern architectural standards.
- Driving technical excellence by performing estimations, proactive planning, and continuous performance optimization.
- Fostering a collaborative culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and maintaining a supportive, team-oriented mindset.
PROFILE & SKILLS
- Senior-level engineer with a Fullstack mindset. While we require commercial experience in both domains, one side must be at a Senior level, while the other can be at a mid-level (1+ years commercial experience).
- Core Technical Stack:
- Backend (Python focus): Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, Pandas (data manipulation), Pytest (TDD), Alembic, and SQL (OracleDB).
- Frontend (Angular focus): Strong expertise in Angular and modern web development practices.
- DevOps & CI/CD Knowledge:
- Continuous Integration & Deployment pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube).
- Container orchestration and monitoring: Kubernetes, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Nice-to-Have (Bonus points for):
- Hexagonal architecture and Design Patterns.
- SQLAlchemy, SQLModel, and Pydantic.
- Asynchronous programming (Python asyncio) and modern linting tools (Ruff, Ty).
- Basic Java knowledge
- Collaborative, team‑player attitude.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
