Developing, originating, structuring and execution debt capital market transactions in the Greater China region across currencies, sectors and products with primary focus on HK and Macau clients.
What would your typical day at BNP Paribas look like?
Primary Role Responsibilities
Role:
* Responsible for developing the DCM platform across Greater China ("S&SEA") region with particular focus on Hong Kong and Macau. The client mix would consist of corporates, banks, insurance companies, government and agencies.
* Responsible for advising clients in debt capital market activities including fund raising (senior, subordinated), liability and balance sheet management and any related hedging activities.
* Responsible, individually or collectively, for a team which will be involved in origination, structuring and execution of DCM transactions including producing related presentations, replies to RFP’s, any other written material required by external and internal clients
* Responsible for execution of all active DCM transactions in Greater China region
* Responsible for developing and executing a strategy for Greater China DCM with a view to grow BNPP’s footprint and wallet share
Key Responsibilities:
* To originate, structure and execute debt products in the international capital markets and achieve revenue targets set by management
* Build strong client relationships vis-à-vis debt capital market products
* Marketing to all relevant clients of our global product capability
* Manage the assigned team of professionals
* Compliance with individual mandates and Code of Conduct
* Acts & behaves appropriately and complies fully with the general ethical standards expected by BNP and the regulatory authorities
* Complies with all applicable legal, regulatory, code of conduct and firms internal compliance requirements.
* Has completed all mandatory compliance training assigned and maintains, through is his observed actions, an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding in order to be fully competent to undertake the role
* Ensure that the assigned team complies with all applicable legal, regulatory, code of conduct and firms internal compliance requirements as well as maintains the full competence to undertake their role including completing all assigned trainings
* Provide clear and comprehensive reporting on pipeline, prospects, marketing efforts and P&L to APAC DCM Head on a mutually agreed frequency
* Coordinate closely with primary teams globally to ensure cross-fertilization of ideas, products and content
Contributions:
* Contribute to franchise development by enhanced cooperation between DCM, Coverage, Sector, GM, Functions and other business lines
* Ensure regular cross-selling of other lines of business
* Contribute to develop innovation in products, trends and processes
* Contribute to maintain leading position in APAC G2 League Tables and improve overall position in Greater China G3 League Tables
