The Role:
As the Credit Specialist, you will make quality lending decisions on high value credit applications received through our partners in the Motor, Retail, Home Improvement, Credit Card and Commercial Insurance sectors. You will make decisions on credit applications received through our internal lending unit for Personal Loans and Credit Cards.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with customers providing a dedicated point of contact for high value referral decisions and maximise accept rates.
Play a major role in making ‘best practice’ underwriting decisions on high value credit applications for:
-
- Point of sale retail finance
- Personal Lending
- Motor Vehicle Finance
- Credit Cards
- Experts in underwriting Motor, Personal Loans, Home Improvements, and high value Retail.
- Liaise with customers providing a dedicated point of contact for high value referral decisions and maximise accept rates.
- Ensuring that all customer contact activities & underwriting decisions are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Experience:
- minimum 2 year's underwriting experience
- Experienced in underwriting high value finance applications
- Experience of underwriting Retails, Motor and Personal Loans
- Commercial underwriting experience
- A good working knowledge of applicant Credit Bureau data and the ability to analyse this data to make a quality lending decision
- Working knowledge of Tallyman, Equifax, Experian
- Working knowledge of CIFAS investigating procedures
