About Business line/Function:

Market Operations are divided into 3 product value chains & 3 cross-business departments. Trade Processing – Listed Derivatives, Securities and Prime and FXMM & OTCD Support are the product chains with Cross Business Lifecycle, Collateral & Treasury Forecasting and Liquidity Monitoring and Valuation & Transversal Services being the cross-department functions.

Position Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and operationally savvy leader to partner with our Markets Operations leadership team as a Business manager/Chief of Staff. This is a high‑visibility role that will shape the way Operations function, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance the effectiveness of the Operations organization. The incumbent will work closely with the Markets Operations leads, driving strategic initiatives, operational oversight, and cross‑functional leadership. The role blends executive partnership, program management, and business analysis to ensure that Markets Operations execute flawlessly, meet targets and drive continuous improvement. The incumbent will act as a facilitator and enabler to the Operations lead and the executive teams on a variety of transversal initiatives by coordinating: finance, strategic projects, governance meetings and communication management

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Strategic & Executive Support

·       Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

·       Track and monitor projects of high importance & critical to the organization, including tracking to budget, effort and deliverable.

·       Demonstrate strong expertise in operational domain and variety of transversal topics.

·       Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)

·       Enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization by delivering regular dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses.

·       Build and maintain a robust analytics framework to surface actionable insights from operational data

·       Responsible for communication of key agendas and for ideation to help resolutions.

·       Devise, manage, deliver and evaluate internal communications approach, campaigns to enhance the Brand's reputation amongst several stakeholders (employees, internal clients, senior management etc.)

·       Ensure that communication is aligned with Group, Territory, ISPL and GSO level. Necessary approval for communication is acquired before releasing.

People & Culture

·       Partner with HR and senior leaders to define talent needs, hiring plans, and development pathways for the Operations team.

·       Lead change‑management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, tools, and organizational structures.

·       Drive Training initiatives like Certification & Digitalization with L&D

Governance

o    India KPI meeting coordination (preparation, minutes, follow-up, continuous review)

o    Governance around Continuous improvement

o   LBO Governance calls

Business Management including Ops Risk Monitoring, Cost Monitoring

o    Facilitate and drive senior‑leadership meetings (e.g., Ops Review, Strategy Off‑site, Board Prep) – agenda setting, material creation, follow‑up and tracking of action items.

o    Ops requests (IG, incidents, Shadow IT, PCC, ICC)

o    Regular coordination with Global and Regional business management teams

o    RCSA preparation / coordination with OPC

o    Invoicing

o    Employee Engagement

o    Visitors Management / DL and Org charts update / Mandates

Projects

o   Coordinate cross‑functional project teams (Technology, Product, Risk, Finance, Legal) to deliver high‑impact initiatives on time and within budget.    

o    IT outages review and Drive partnership with IT

o    Drive initiatives like Span of Control

o    HR Pulse Survey and skip level feedback action plan

o    Champion senior‑leadership communications—internal newsletters, town‑halls, and stakeholder updates—to ensure transparency and alignment

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

o   12+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or business management within banking or financial‑services environment.

o   Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Business Manager, or Operations Leader role at a high‑growth, technology‑focused firm.

o   Experience with Agile/Lean project delivery methods and modern data‑visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

o   Proven track record of leading complex, cross‑functional programs (e.g., process re‑engineering).

o   IB Operations experience preferred especially in project management.

o   Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, P&L ownership, and business case development.

o   High degree of initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.

o   Competency with MS Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to learn multiple programs quickly.

o   Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

o   Innovative - constantly identifying gaps in process and to seek improvements

o   Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence multiple stakeholders

o   Self-motivated and results oriented with an ability to work under pressure
