The position at
a glance
Global Banking Americas (GBA) is a core business of the bank, supporting corporate clients across financing, investment banking and transaction banking activities.
Within GBA, the COO Office – Business Management team supports transversal business activities, including reporting, coordination and projects. The team is based in Montreal and New York, and works closely with business, HR, Finance and other functions to support decision-making and efficient operations.
In detail
During this internship, you will contribute to the team’s activities related to data, reporting, and business management support, while gaining exposure to a COO / Business Management environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performance monitoring & reporting
- Support the monitoring of key metrics (e.g. headcount, costs) and understand related workflows
- Assist in maintaining and consolidating recurring reports
- Perform data checks and reconciliations to ensure consistency
- Help analyze trends and flag potential inconsistencies
- Contribute to the preparation of management presentations and reporting materials
- Assist with ad hoc data requests from business or management
Organization & business support
- Support transversal topics (e.g. hiring tracking, process reviews, audits support)
- Help coordinate with teams across HR, Finance, IT and Business
- Assist in managing and tracking organizational updates when needed
- Contribute to ongoing business initiatives and internal projects
Projects
- Support ongoing projects through coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder engagement
- Track project milestones and ensure timely follow-up on action items
- Assist in preparing project status updates and reporting materials
- Contribute to project documentation and meeting minutes and project records
- Support the planning, organization and coordination of project-related activities within the team
Depending on business needs, you may also be involved in additional analyses or initiatives.

Eligibility
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Canadian post-secondary program
- Able to work in the Montreal office
- At least 18 years old
Skills & attributes
- Strong interest in data analysis and business management topics
- Comfortable working with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic data manipulation)
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office tools
- Attention to detail and ability to work with structured data
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to collaborate with different teams
*Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in English language is required.
Nice to have:
- Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau or SharePoint
- Interest in process improvement or project work
