Job Title: Sr./Jr. Business Analyst

Department: ITG FRS

About Business line/Function: Under BNP Paribas IT Group, ITTF FRS is the IT framework encompassing Projects & Systems of Finance and RISK functions, with a strong focus on efficiency, proximity, agility and time-to-market.

FRS is a worldwide organizational model that will contribute to tackle major challenges of the Group’s transformation of today and tomorrow, building the best offering to the Finance and Risk Community through a progressive rotation to new technologies and best practices. The FRS organization is the outcome of several convergences: between the Project & Systems teams of Group Finance, CIB Finance and RISK and their related IT teams.

FRS is part of the IT Group organization (ITG in Europe and ITO overseas) with a threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance and RISK (CIB-ITO; RISK Solutions and ITG-FIT).

Position Purpose: 

Shared Data Ecosystem (SDE) is an ITG-FRS department hosting various applications relating to the “filière unique program” in charge of collecting Accounting and Risk data from local entities in an unique stream. 

The beneficiary wishes to receive a service agreement to participate in a new project of a tool replacement.

Due to the increased need for control by all regulators, BNP Paribas has been faced in recent years with a multiplication of reports to be produced on a recurring basis with increasingly short deadlines for submission. Moreover, the quality and safety recommendations of regulators are becoming more stringent, and the team is faced with many regulatory changes required by the banking supervisory and regulatory authorities. The implementation of a more robust and performant tool is required.

XGEN is a team that will oversee the execution of controls and the transformation of reports into XBRL format expected by the regulator with this new tool.

The team will evolve in a dynamic, international working environment that listens to "new ways of working".

The service offers rich and varied missions in a dynamic regulatory environment, in close liaison with technical teams and business lines.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst on this project, you will participate in the migration by writing the documentation, setting up the new processes, performing tests and monitoring the migration of all the reporting from the old tool to the new tool.

  1. Implementation of the new tool on our environment:

·         Follow up the IT Team the integration of the new tool in our environment

·         Providing our IT Team assistance by testing as per their needs

  1. Participate to functional tests:

·         Participate to the test of the full application

·         Defining a full test strategy

·         Writing and updating user guides and all the necessary documentation

  1. Participate to the implementation of the application settings:

·         Defining the User access management process

·         Writing and updating official procedure for permanent control

  1. Participate to the progressive migration of the Reporting:

·          Follow up this the migration of all the reporting

·         Test the correct behavior of the new application

·         Follow up and validation meetings with the business

  1. Change management for our end users:

·         Contribution to a change management plan (impact assessment, communication, writing of documentation, training plan) to ensure ownership and success of the project

·         Definition of the procedures for processing the change requests 

·         Writing a support and training session for the users

After the project phase, the production phase will start, which will require:

-          Production setups

-          User assistance

-          Production follow up and investigation in case of incident

Depending on the major milestones in the production of regulatory reports, periodic on-calls will be expected on certain evenings and weekends.

Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint.

Good to have skills

·         SQL

Experience in Finance/ Accounting domain as a Business Analyst

·         Technical and functional skills:

You graduated with specialization in one of these domains: Finance, Project management, IT, engineer school or Business school.

You justify your first successful experience in the field of project management, Business Analyst, IT and/or finance, Risk or Regulatory reporting.

You have a strong appetite for new technologies; you easily understand the architecture and challenges of a financial information system.

·         Behavioural competences:

You're rigorous, you know how to adapt. You can take initiatives and work as a team and collaborate across the board.

You are capable of analysis as well as synthesis and are organized. You have the ability to work in English and produce high quality deliverables.

This position will enable you to interact with a large number of IT Group stakeholders, as well as with all the Group’s businesses, entities and reporting channels.
