What is this position about?

Responsible for handling of daily GL adjustments for daily Balance Sheet, regulatory reporting and group internal reporting for financial information of CIB Korea entities (BNPP Seoul Branch and BNPP Securities Korea).

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • Check BOK reserve by monthly and communicate with Treasury regarding the required amount and actual amount of BOK reserves.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of BOK FX reports and FSS business reports. If any local regulatory reporting issues and updates/amendments, escalate appropriately.
  • Responsible for checking the ledger balance requested by other departments
  • Prepare daily GL adjustment items for Daily Balance Sheet (DBS) report and circulate the finalized DBS within local Finance for usage of it by other Finance members.
  • Ensure and reconcile Withholding Tax and perform monthly/ yearly reporting & payments for NTS.
  • Contribute to regional / local projects, committees, internal/external audit or inspections, when needed.
  • For external audit for year-end closing, ensure that audit requirements are properly delivered and any issue raised by an auditor is well followed up.
  • Contribute to local Finance’s mission completion with proactively taking ad hoc tasks or any additional tasks/responsibilities when necessary. 

Other contributions

  • Bring Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
  • Minimize operational failure by implementing sufficient regular self-checks & controls
  • Ensure appropriate escalation to CFO, Local/Regional Managements and/ or Local Compliance as appropriate, as soon  as an issue is identified.
  • Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Comply with the BNPP standards of Code of Conduct
  • Comply with the BNPP IT Security policies
  • Ensure adherence to AML/FS‐related Group Policies and execution of associated operational controls

What is required for you to succeed?

  • Understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards and basic tax accounting
  • MS office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word..)
  • Accounting/Business major preferred 
  • Good communication skills in English & Korean
