CIB ITO Production ensures the provision of industrialized and digital production services. CIB ITO Production manages operational risk by running stable and robust IT production platforms. CIB ITO production hosts critical service delivery scope comprising of Global Markets, Global Banking, Client & Employee, ALM&T, Regulatory & Control IT and BP2S.
Position Purpose: The Senior Reliability Engineer is a technical powerhouse responsible for the stability and evolution of the DevSecOps platform. Unlike a traditional support role, this position requires a strong engineering mindset. The primary objective is to ensure production stability by treating every failure as a bug that requires a permanent code-based or architectural fix. The successful candidate will be a tech enthusiast who is equally comfortable navigating the nuances of AI-driven tools (Open Code, MCP) and the depths of the DevSecOps toolchain, ensuring that the platform is not just "running," but is resilient, scalable, and automated.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
· Root-Cause Engineering: Lead the investigation of complex production failures. Move beyond "restarting services" to identify the fundamental cause of issues and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
· Platform Stability & Coding: Proactively write and deploy code to enhance platform reliability. Use a development mindset to automate manual interventions and resolve technical debt within the toolchain.
· AI Operationalization: Support and optimize MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and internal AI-driven use cases. Understand the nuances of AI-specific configurations and keywords to ensure these services are performant and stable.
· Advanced Tool Administration: Provide expert-level administration and optimization of the DevSecOps stack, specifically Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Cloudbees Jenkins.
· Pipeline & Security Orchestration: Ensure the seamless integration of SonarQube, NexusIQ, and Fortify within the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security gates are automated and reliable.
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage platform components using Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker, ensuring that environment configurations are versioned and reproducible.
· Toil Reduction: Identify repetitive manual tasks and engineer automation to reduce the ticket volume by the agreed target, shifting the team's focus from reactive support to proactive engineering.

- Technical Mentorship: Guide junior engineers in adopting a "Reliability First" mindset and improving their capabilities for production fixes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Dev and Sec teams to refine the DevSecOps roadmap and integrate new tools (e.g., GitHub migration).
- Lifecycle Management: Participate in the strategic planning for tool upgrades and capacity management to ensure the platform scales with business growth.

- Development Mindset: Strong proficiency in Python and Shell Scripting for production automation. Ability to read and modify code to apply fixes.
- DevSecOps Mastery: Admin-level knowledge of Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Cloudbees Jenkins. Experience with GitHub is highly preferred.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in a production environment.
- Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in Ansible or similar framework for configuration management.
