Job Title: Assistant Manager – Performance Monitoring

Department: ISPL CEFS KYC Operations

About Business line/Function: 

The KYC Due Diligence team in ISPL is responsible for the Preparation of files due for periodic reviews (Recertification) for existing customers and (Onboarding) for new clients of BNP Paribas across multiple countries across APAC, EMEA and America. It is extended team working with onshore counterpart to support completion of KYC on all existing and new clients of BNP Paribas.

Position Purpose: 

 The KYC Performance Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for tracking, analysing, and reporting on the operational performance of BNP Paribas’ KYC operations. Using advanced Excel/VBA and Power BI skills, the analyst will turn large‑scale data sets into actionable insights, highlight operational gaps, and partner with Operations and Central teams to drive data‑driven improvements across the KYC lifecycle.

Monitor & analyse KYC operational performance

• Build and maintain KPI scorecards for onboarding turnaround, remediation cycle‑time, compliance reports). • Perform daily/weekly variance analysis and flag deviations against SLA targets.

Data integrity & large‑dataset management

• Ingest data from multiple platforms (Core KYC, AML, CRM, Data‑Lake). • Run data‑quality checks (duplicates, missing keys, out‑liers) and document remediation steps.

Develop, automate & maintain reporting tools

• Create Excel‑based models with complex formulas, dynamic arrays & VBA macros for bulk processing. <br>• Design & publish interactive Power BI dashboards (filterable by region, product, risk tier).

Collaborate with Operations & Central teams

• Produce weekly performance briefs for Ops leads; present findings in governance forums 

• Capture operational feedback and translate it into reporting enhancements.

Identify process bottlenecks & recommend improvements

• Conduct root‑cause analysis on high‑risk or delayed cases. 

• Draft data‑driven improvement proposals (process redesign, automation, staffing adjustments).

Continuous improvement of analytical capabilities

• Document standard operating procedures for data extraction, cleaning, and visualisation. 

• Mentor junior analysts on Excel/VBA best practices and Power BI storytelling.

4️⃣ Required Skills & Qualifications

Domain

Required Expertise

KYC / Regulatory

Deep knowledge of the KYC lifecycle (on‑boarding, ongoing monitoring, remediation) and relevant regulations (e.g., AML, FATF, local CTF rules).

Excel & VBA

Advanced Excel (nested formulas, array functions, Power Query, PivotTables) + VBA macro development for automation & data transformation.

Data Visualisation

Proven experience building interactive Power BI dashboards (data modelling, DAX, custom visuals, row‑level security).

Data Management

Expertise in data cleansing, structuring, and handling large‑scale data sets (≥ 1 M records) – preferably with SQL/Power Query.

Analytical Thinking

Ability to detect patterns, conduct root‑cause analysis, and translate technical findings into strategic business insights.

Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and drafting concise performance reports.

Collaboration

Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with regional Operations, Central Functions, IT, Risk & Compliance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 - 9 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience.

• Prior experience in similar domain.
