Job Title: Assistance Manager Data Analyst

Department: GBIT ISPL - APAC Trade & Supply Chain – KPI Reporting

About Business line/Function: CIB - Global banking

Position Purpose: To design, develop and sustain high impact Power BI dashboards, analytical reports and automated data processing solutions using Python that support Business, Management, Operations and Compliance across the CIB APAC GB portfolio. The role combines deep technical expertise (Power BI, Python, Oracle SQL) with strong stakeholder management to deliver accurate, timely insight and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Dashboard & Reporting – Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical reports for regional and local Business, Management, Operations, and Compliance functions across the CIB APAC GB portfolio.
• Python Development – Build, enhance, and support Python based data processing and analytics solutions; maintain existing code bases. Use of LLM/AI models to gain efficiency.
• ORACLE/ SQL – Write, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL’s, stored procedures that feed reporting and analytical workloads.
• Operations Monitoring – Track key operational metrics such as transaction volumes by business line/product/territory, straight through processing (STP) rates, and e Banking utilization.
• Business Focused Reporting – Produce specialized reports on outstanding CTS exposure, RWA for Trade Finance & Supply Chain, Cost to Serve, and other key business indicators.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Business Continuity & Compliance – Ensure Business Continuity objectives are met and that all activities adhere to organizational and project specific policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Compliance Reporting – Contribute to recurring regulatory submissions for local central banks, quarterly MAS reports, and annual AML/CFT reports for HKMA, US FED, and French ACPR.
• Automation – Identify and drive automation initiatives that minimize manual effort and increase overall efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with core and extended programme teams, peers, senior stakeholders, and business managers.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)

• Python Advanced (pandas, NumPy, API integration, LLM/AI utilization)

• Oracle SQL & PL/SQL – writing, tuning, stored procedure development

• ETL design & automation (good to have)

• Data governance, metadata management & security awareness

• Experience with LLM/AI driven data retrieval or summarization

• Strong stakeholder management & influencing skills; Excellent written & verbal communication

• Analytical mindset – turn complex data into actionable insight

• Collaborative team player with a service orientation, attention to detail & quality focus

Experience Level: 7+ years of hands on experience in data analytics, business intelligence and Python development, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science).
