Job Title: Vice President – Risk Management
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Represent the RISK function in approval committees for the validation of structured transactions and new activities initiated by Global Markets across the America’s platform (US and LATAM). Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analyzes (market, liquidity and counterparty risks) for complex and strategic initiatives arising from the business lines (Equity, FX, Rates, Credit and Financing activities). Involvement in the decision making process by providing a formal RISK opinion, issuing risk recommendations and proposing risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate and interact with other RISK expert teams (Market Risk, Model Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk) to review and address specific issues such as booking, risk limits, reserves, valuation, risk quantification and monitoring. Ensure the new initiatives are consistent with the Bank risk appetite/strategy and follow-up the implementation of the risk frameworks. Intervene in other transversal risk topics under the Team responsibility (e.g. Electronic Trading). *Telecommuting permitted 50%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas RCC Inc. office in New York, NY.
SALARY: $193,003 - $195,000/ year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with the following: Risk Management areas (Market Risk / Counterparty Risk / Operational Risk) or Front-Office roles; market and counterparty risks originated from derivatives and securities financing transactions; capital market activities and products over various assets classes; quantitative risk measures and related modeling/methodologies; risk processes and governance including participation in risk committees and involvement in risk identification exercises; coordinating processes with overseas offices within a major multinational bank or financial organization; and analyzing risk exposure in global markets.
