Nickel is a start-up belonging to the BNP Paribas Group. What do we do?
We offer a payment account, with a national IBAN and a Mastercard debit card that the customer can open at a lottery or tobacco shop without leaving the neighborhood. This unique business model already has more than 4 million customers and more than 12,000 points of sale.

ABOUT THE JOB
MISSION
The treasury specialist is responsible for the operations linked with money management, bank account reconciliation processes and daily monitoring on safekeeping of funds in the Finance Shared Service Center.
The duties include being in charge of doing bank accounts reconciliation, to control payments and to monitor the daily process of safekeeping of funds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsabilities include being in charge of doing bank accounts reconciliation, to control payments and to monitor the daily process of safekeeping of funds.
● Bank Reconciliation
- Immediately upon receipt of Bank Statements, analyze all transactions.
- Monitor all banking activities in order to detect irregularities.
- Provide documentation for the purpose of supporting all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports
- Reconcile and process transactions that are complex in nature.
- Maintain required files, reports, and data, both utilizing Excel and/or an online reconciliation software
- Reconcile and rectify all ledger accounts differences.
- Follow up all aged transactions continuously and provide updates
● Payments Control
- Perform a 4 eyes control verification on payment proposals
- Review all Payment transactions in order to prevent fraud
- Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data
● Safekeeping of Funds
- Perform a 4 eyes control verification on Safekeeping of Funds
- Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data
- Control Banks daily management: statements, transfers
● Contribute to financial audits – internal and external – with documentation required for the auditors to do their job satisfactorily.
● Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
● Assisting in the preparation of budgets or transversal projects.
REQUIREMENTS
University Degree in Business Administration or Economy
- Knowledge on Tax & Finance
- Knowledge on Finance Rules & Norms
- Knowledge on Accounting
- Fluent English
- Operational French is valuable
SKILLS
- Expert in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Expert in Google environment (google sheets, slides, etc).
- Knowledge on Oracle ERP is valuable
