As a Transition and Onboarding Officer, you will drive the end-to-end implementation of new client mandates. You will be responsible for translating complex client requirements into functional operational workflows, ensuring that all technological, credit, and legal components are completed to align with established requirements in a timely manner. This role requires a unique blend of front-office commercial awareness and deep operational expertise, acting as a project manager and client advisor to ensure a flawless transition from sales origination to live trading.
Your Main Activities Are
- Engage with new clients to gather all commercial, trading, technical, and operational requirements, leveraging a deep understanding of system flows and technological capabilities to enhance the client experience from the onset
- Partner closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, Risk, Credit, Legal, IT, and Product leads to manage the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle, ensuring all pricing, credit approvals, and legal documentation are secured efficiently
- Collaborate with other Global Markets businesses to facilitate the onboarding of BNP's suite of margin optimization solutions
- Establish and maintain a rigorous governance framework to provide both clients and internal stakeholders with transparency through proactive milestone tracking and status reporting
- Oversee the setup of critical operational workflows--including execution, allocation, reconciliation, and collateralization--while providing front-office oversight during the initial go-live phase to mitigate risks and ensure a smooth transition
- Build foundational client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their service expectations and ensuring a high-touch, seamless experience from the onset of the mandate
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor degree in Business Management, Economics, Law or similar
- At least 2 year of experience on onboarding or due diligence roles
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office Pack, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to collaborate and deliver results as well as having attention to detail
- Great analytical skills and ability to support change and adapt

Derivatives Execution & Clearing (DEC) is a premier execution and clearing business within Global Markets, providing access to over 70 of the world's largest exchanges to Corporate and Institutional clients. DEC combines the specialized strengths of Global Markets across Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Execution, OTC Clearing, and ETD Clearing.
The Transition and Onboarding team serves as the critical first touchpoint for clients entering the DEC ecosystem. Focused on delivering a seamless client experience, the team guides Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, and Regional Banks through the onboarding process onto BNP's US derivatives clearing platform at BNP Securities Corp. We act as the strategic bridge between a client's initial mandate and their long-term operational success.
