We are looking for an Intern, part of the Transformation team (within Change & Solutions) in Montreal, with an innovative mindset and hunger to challenge and improve on the operation of the Bank in North America.
In detail
We are part of a regional organization. Change & Solutions works closely with BNP Paribas’ executive management and senior leadership to design and implement high level, strategically important projects, and shape the development of the Bank in the region (US, Canada, and Latin America).
- The team delivers value through an integrated and agile approach with deep international interconnectivity across departments, and a strong focus on servicing internal clients across capabilities, namely:
- Consulting, providing consulting services similar to top tier external strategy consulting firms, focusing on strategic planning, business development, and thought leadership
- Transformation, leveraging on expertise to support end to end transformational change for business lines and functions
- Regulatory Excellence, covering the full value chain of regulatory expertise
- Analytics Lab, developing and delivering to production innovative Machine Learning based solutions across the Bank
More specifically, the Transformation team delivers projects on process efficiency, target operating models, digital solutions, execution support and enablement, and fostering a transformation culture. The team is based on a set of principles, namely being robust and effective (with a consistent standard of delivery based on formal methodologies), adapted to client needs (with agility and an orientation to solutions), and a mindset of leader-coaches (who can build a community of transformation-oriented people).

The candidate will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change, while having the opportunity to experience and learn from real-life projects.
Responsibilities
- Support Transformation projects working with the project team during diagnose and design phases (analysis, data crunching, interviews, studies and surveys, trainings, etc.)
- Adhere to and improve on the methodologies used during projects (e.g., Project Management best practices)
- Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through identifying and eliminating unnecessary complexity to find better ways of working
- Prepare project materials, to be reviewed by the project team
- Participate in workshops, interviews and other client meetings
- Support the development of transversal work within Change & Solutions, partnering with people from US and Canada to improve the team
- Support the pursuit of Innovation in the Bank, be that on an ongoing basis or during specific challenges
Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
- Pursuing studies in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration (Masters’ studies are a plus)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
- Participation in Consulting clubs or similar activities at university level are a plus
- Analytical mindset, being able to crunch data and draw conclusions from it
- Receptive to constructive feedback, promoting a culture of continuous feedback
- Balances listening and talking to foster constructive dialogue
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.
