About the job

·         BNP Paribas Lisbon Branch is part of the BNP Paribas Group which is represented across the world. At Lisbon within the platform “CIB Portugal IT Services” (Corporate & Institutional Banking) the IT department for Global Markets is offering services to the BNP Paribas Group

·         Within this department the Back Office Business Support (BOBS) team is supporting the teams dedicated to BNPP Fortis CIB Operations activities (located in Brussels and in Lisbon) with their functional and IT requests and acts as their single point of contact in case of incidents

·         The BOBS team in Lisbon is in contact with multiple other support teams from different IT systems. In additional of local team in Lisbon, candidate will work with colleagues based in Brussels, London, Paris, Mumbai and Montreal.

·         You will be part of a team of 3 polyvalent colleagues who will support Back Office of BNPP Fortis on their queries or incidents related to applications like Calypso or Murex, as well as internally developed ones. To guarantee good reachability towards our clients, the team operates from 7h00 until 18h00 GMT in rotation shifts between the colleagues. The team ensures a presence during the working days of the clients, hence a presence on bank holidays

Your Main Activities Are

·         Finding a solution to solve the technical and functional issues raised or forwarding the issue to the appropriate team and following-up issue resolving

·         Ensuring that a solution is provided within the appropriate timeframe depending on the issue’s priority

·         Coordinating and ensuring optimal communication between the different teams/stakeholders in your role as a single point of contact, including regular updates on the progress in case of blocking incidents

·         Supporting and Deploy vendor application as STET/TARGET2/RAMSES/CLS/…

·         Documenting issues raised by the users and identified as a bug

·         Following up and taking action when necessary on the technical alert messages sent to the team’s common mailbox

·         Ensuring that the control tasks at the beginning of day and the daily feedback is performed

Profile and Skills to Success

·         Academic backgound in Information Technology or Computer Science

·         Basic knowledge of Capital Markets Operations as well as the following products : Securities, Interest Rate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange products

·         Good knowledge of standard Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint...)

·         Stress resistant and good priority management for changes and unforeseen circumstances with a strong focus on client;

·         Result oriented and pro-active;

·         Excellent working habits: well organised, well-structured, good coordination planning and execution, efficient methods, curious, eye for detail;

·         Fast learner and able to work easily and quickly within a fast changing environment;

·         Autonomous and able to easily work together with other teams (coordination, act calmly, common goal);

·         Fluency in English, written and spoken
