About the job
The program begins with a week of professional training, which will help to enhance your technical and professional skills. You will then be assigned to our regular tasks allowing you to gain the necessary practical knowledge about the business. During the second half of the program you will work on real projects, become part of the teams and gain a real insight into the role. In order for you to gain an understanding of the other areas within Global Markets, we will include you to work-shadowing sessions on the team. In addition, you will attend workshops, including interactive case studies, networking and social events allowing you to meet with some of our senior managers and colleagues across CIB as well as working on individual and team projects.
Your Main Activities Are
- Support the FOCS and BS&C teams in NY with ad-hoc requests (KPIs, reporting, regulatory, etc.);
- Assist in the development of automated tools for monitoring Global Markets Staff and performing customized data analytics;
- Contribute to the design, implementation and visualizations of the monitoring procedures to more effectively identify actual or potential conduct risk scenarios;
- Build an end-to-end report by improving the data collection and manipulation as well as developing/improving visualizations to be presented in committees and presentations.
Profile and Skills to Success
- Academic background in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, IT or similar areas (Preferential);
- Proved Experience in similar roles (Preferential);
- Strong Team-work mindset;
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of professionalism
- Motivated and driven to learn more about Global Markets
- Proficient with MS Office tools (Mandatory);
- Basic Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) (Mandatory);
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, VBA) (Mandatory);
- Fluency in English (Mandatory);.
About the Team
This role will support two primary teams within the Global Markets Americas Chief Conduct and Controls Office (CCCO):
- Front Office Conduct & Surveillance (FOCS): team monitors trading & sales business activity and electronic Communications, with the objective of deterring, detecting, and preventing Conduct Risk breaches. Team develops automated tools for monitoring and performing customized data analytics.
- Business Supervision & Controls (BS&C): team collaborates with Trading, Sales, Structuring, and Risks Management teams (2LOD) to help keep non-financial risks to an acceptable level. BS&C is a key component in the assessment and management of non-financial risks and implementation of the controls framework.
