Position: National Head of Sales
Department: Residential Sales
Location: London (with travel to regions required)
The role –
As a member of the Residential Agency Management Executive, this individual will work closely with the Head of Residential Agency, and the wider leadership team, in the overall management of the business line. They will have focus on strategic decision making in order to drive profitability and shape the direction of the business line. In addition, they will have responsibility for the direct management and results of their business areas.

Key deliverables
Responsibilities
Day to day management of National Sales including -
• Devising and implementing the growth strategy for the business, including identifying new sites for expansion
• Writing a strategy, structure and business plan across the network of offices
• Motivating the team and leading new initiatives to maximise performance
• Monitoring KPIs and reporting results to the Head of Residential Agency & Management Executive
• Monitoring (in conjunction with local COT) status of deals within KYC
• Monitoring individual sales targets
• Achieving the portfolio balance between managed, rent demand and let only business.
• Assessing need for performance management where required
• Annual Performance reviews with direct reports
Strategy and Leadership
• Define and drive the National Sales strategy and implement this at a department level.
• Undertake business planning activities in line with the wider business line and company strategy.
• Work collaboratively across the wider business, representing National Sales as a member of the BNPPRE UK Senior Leadership team.
• Manage strategic and operational projects that focus on driving the success, or improvement, of the business line.
• Work collaboratively with all support functions, ensuring effective relationships and shared objectives, which allow for the achievement of business line objectives.
Client Relationship Management and Service Delivery
• Being visible to clients as National Head of Sales
• Oversee the consistent delivery of high quality advice and service to clients and act as an escalation point as required.
• Drive high quality, consistent service delivery across the department. Ensure that a culture of consistently high service delivery is fostered within teams, and clients remain at the centre of business activity.
• Explore opportunities for an improved or enhanced service offering, present these to the management executive and take forward to implementation.
• Hold overall accountability for department compliance with all internal processes / regulations and the management of key risks (including Health & Safety, AML, compulsory training)
• Be responsible for the management of data within the department, whilst ensuring it is used effectively and in line with any internal process or regulatory requirements.
Wider Business Integration
• Ensure National Sales team is cross selling where possible and that referral opportunities are maximised across both Residential and Commercial.
• Work with Head of London New Homes and Private Client team to ensure the international network is being maximised.
• Have active role in high profile business development opportunities, within and outside of the Residential business line.
People
• Be responsible for leading the National Sales team, in collaboration with the Head of Residential Agency
• Responsible for the delivery and management of all annual people processes at a department level, including, but not limited to; Compensation Review Process (CRP), talent management and succession planning, promotions, performance review and reward.
• Have effective and regular communication with all local heads of offices, supporting them to drive performance and implement local actions.
• Collaborate with the HR team to resolve any specific people matters.
• Ensure regular communication with the whole department and individual teams to promote the sharing of information both from and to business line management.
• Regularly communicate with and coach local heads of offices to instil a culture of continuous professional development and a focus on the retention of talent.
• Maintain a strong internal and external network to allow for effective recruitment of talent and development of succession plans.

Person specification
Qualifications:
• Preferably Graduate level as a minimum
Experience
• Ideally have solid experience in heading up a National Sales department
• Proven fee earner
• Able to work at a strategic level and maintains a network of senior contacts and decision makers
• Self starter and can work with little supervision and, where appropriate, under pressure
• Coaching/mentoring of others
• Demonstrate a knowledge of the entire residential development cycle
• Strong market profile as a new business generator
• Proficient in the use of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Previous experience of working to deadlines
