Position Purpose
- Perform candidate / employee screening i.e. Vigilance, Background Verification, for new joiners, within the remit of Global HR Shared Services team for different regions.
- Ensure screening / checks are completed as per the group / local guidelines within the agreed timelines, accuracy, service level agreements with vendors and frequency.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Understand, Maintain and follow the group procedure for screening to conduct checks and ensure they are completed as per the group guidelines
- Liaise with Candidates & Recruiters to ensure receipt of complete set of documentation / details (includes personal, professional, educational) required for conducting screening (BGV & Vigilance) are received, seeking clarifications with them on need basis, liaising / coordination with vendor
- Follow the applicable policies, local regulatory requirements, SOPs and maintain them as live document
- Able to review / investigate cases, prepare approval notes with supporting documents stating the facts / outcome for procuring approvals as per the agreed grid
- Should be able to gather thorough knowledge and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the end-to-end process / deliverables, including understanding of policies / procedures
- Completion of daily BAU activities for with no breach in turn-around time including timely follow-ups & escalation of issues as & when required to the management & stakeholders.
- Prepare KPIs and dashboard at regular intervals to stakeholders showcasing progress and completion status
- Support / Partner during Audits reviews and Adhere to GDPR guidelines
Supporting activities:
- Maintenance of mandatory records / data and ensure they are available as requested during various Audits internal and external
- Follow controls (maker and checker) steps within the processes managed to mitigate risks
- Conduct Quality review / Audits to assess the accuracy and completeness of the screening process followed by the team
- Extract data to generate relevant dashboards & assist in timely reporting of the analysis
- Take initiative of any project which would help in streamlining the process within or outside the team

- Has worked on background verification process in an HR Shared Services environment or in the BFSI industry

Specific Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Experience Level: At least 3 years
