The position at a glance

The Client Engagement and Financial Security (CEFS) Regulatory is a client-focused communication team devoted to handling the regulatory onboarding and notification process of new and substantial regulatory challenges facing our clients in the Americas.

In detail

The team members are in charge of the following activities:

  • Supervise regulatory projects and project execution that involve updating account information.
  • Analyzing and determining the regulations for the client’s onboarding.
  • Support is to be provided to the team by having daily catch-up calls to address the BAU queries.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to inform about new regulations or any other update.
  • Engage with other business partners involved in regulatory projects to assess downstream impacts.
  • Assume responsibility for unforeseen issues that may arise during the processes/projects and escalate appropriately to ensure timely resolution while managing the expectations of affected stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities (multi-task) – meet tight deadlines.
  • Handling of mailboxes and tagging the emails and reports on the onboarding side
  • Ensuring the post onboarding breaches reports and onboarding tickets are actioned by the team members in a timely manner – Back up officer
  • Timely updating of the Standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in identifying operational process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow to increase the team’s efficiency and training plans.
  • Assist in any special project or request by management.
  • Conducting training for the new joiner/new regulations in place
  • Pro-active and decisive mindset.
  • Establishing best practices for the team members to follow the end-to-end process and for updating the internal systems with data and documents.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant financial industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years exposure to IT development, drafting business requirements and project coordination testing
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in projects involving banking operations, rules and regulations that govern banking operations (i.e. FINRA, Dodd Frank, CFTC, EMIR, etc.)
  • Must know how to use Excel functions such as v-lookups, pivot table and have an understanding of how to organize/analyze data sets 
  • Working knowledge of computers and of standard software (MS Suite); proficiency with MS Excel
  • Preference to majors in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computing, Mathematics or other related field of study 
  • Excellent communications skills, (oral and written)
  • Educational experience – BA or BS

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Project Management skills or certifications a plus
  • Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
