The Role:

The Pricing Strategy Manager is a critical role providing subject matter expertise and the responsibility for driving profitable growth harnessing innovation and data analytics.  Required to set and manage our pricing strategy and approach to risk based pricing and in doing so achieving business objectives and regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a virtual ‘optimisation lab’ working collaboratively with Risk, Finance and Customer Analytics experts
  • Day to day management of the optimisation engine using internal and external market data to proactively model scenarios achieve margin and sales objectives within defined risk and regulatory constraints.
  • Market and economic benchmarking to ensure product is operating at a competitive advantage and translating that back to key business functions to support constraint settings
  • Manage pricing across multiple products, channels and partners. Continually review effectiveness of pricing and develop recommendations for pricing changes
  • Accountable for delivery of profitability through optimising commercial levers
  • Operating within a framework of authority delivering price changes within prescribed mandate
  • Ensure that pricing is appropriate for the level of risk for each customer segment by working with Risk to understand expected risk by channel, partner and customer segment
  • Ensure that pricing changes are implemented to meet representative rate regulatory requirements and in place for promotional activity.
  • Key stakeholder for development of new channels, partners and customer segments.
  • Develop pricing scenarios and proposals to ensure profitability analysis can be completed.
