What is this position about?

This role is within Market Operation, reporting to the APAC Securities and Prime Transaction Processing. It will be integral to the role to work closely with the Sales & Trading teams, Back Offices, Other Middle Offices, DRIVE and project teams globally.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 

Primary Role Responsibilities

•    To execute requests for change impacting APAC SPB Trade Validation

•    To provide expertise to offshore production team

Collaborate & Support the operational managers (Local and/or Global) in identifying and implementing new processes and process improvements

•    Cartography E2E workflows: contribute and lead solving front to back issues involving multiple teams and trade lifecycle

•    Contribute to process reengineering and automation of existing processes.

•    Work with technology to resolve systematic issue impacting the production performance, control issues, improve the SLA and reduce driver of poor performance

•    Propose efficiencies and enhancements within the global perimeter to key processes and controls

•    Contribute to the definition of standard vs non-standard process, challenge non-standard processes & design relevant control framework

•    Define Business requirements for IT developments: contribute to the centralization & prioritisation of Ops IT requirements supporting Ops Sponsor

•    Review alignment of working procedures and mandate in conjunction with Global Head, global teams and SMEs in other regions

•    Review design and maintenance of the management’s dashboards

Contribute to the increase of expertise globally

•    Contribute to the training and knowledge transfer of new and existing activities

•    Prepare and organise trainings for teams, expanding knowledge and enforcing best practices

•    Guide and support members of the wider team where problems are more complex and require in-depth analysis

•    Contribute to the implementation of a client centric culture across our operational organisation

Support the production monitoring and transversal activities

•    Identify, design and deploy missing KPIs/KRIs. Analyse risks and challenge and propose solutions in coordination with Global and Local managers, Business & other stakeholders

•    Analyse incidents having an impact on the overall process and contribute to the definition of action plans.

•    Contribute to production reporting, meetings and SLA review

•    Work closely with the Product Control Oversight on activity monitoring serviced by other platforms.

•    Analyse alignment between client needs and Ops set-up and processes, to ensure it can deliver the best possible service for our clients in the most efficient manner possible.

•    Closely monitor ISPL BAU activity status on daily basis and build communication channel to continuously advice on production issues

•    Review the production KPI generated by ISPL team on daily basis and provide guideline to ISPL team on how to resolve/escalate outstanding issues

•    Provide periodical update to operation management on ISPL team production, incident, and project matters

•    Review incident broadcast with ISPL team to ensure fair and accurate description of events, and work with ISPL team to ensure effective remediation plan in practice

Point of Contact for internal/external stakeholders

•    Entry point to the strategic organizational initiative, new business, regulations & clients initiatives (new business activities, TAC/NAC, product dev, transversal projects, internal audit, regulatory inquiries, activity representation at relevant business forums), define impacts on Ops set-up & processes

•    Manage communication channels with Business line managers

•    Coordinate with other Ops teams to ensure smooth exchange of information

•    Contribute / manage Ops projects, strategic initiative and interventions to improve the Operations service provision to internal and external clients.

•    Lead in decision-making and approach on critical and complex issues requiring higher-level analysis or experience.
