Junior Investment Compliance Specialist with German
Investment Compliance is part of Depositary and Fiduciary domain of BNP Paribas. DFS department was appointed for fund’s asset protection: cash monitoring, safekeeping and overseeing the fund’s affairs to ensure that it complies with obligations outlined in relevant laws and fund’s constitutional documents. Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of the investment funds industry and securities market
- German work command min B2; English work command min B2
- 1 year of professional experience in investment compliance and/or and securities market would be an advantage
- University degree (preferably Finance, Economics, Law);
- Very good knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of financial applications (Bloomberg, etc.) would be considered as an advantage
- Dedication and engagement;
- Analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and detail orientation;
- Organizational skills;
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the contractual and legal requirements and implementation into the compliance monitoring systems
- Carrying out compliance operations on the funds in order to ensure that fund’s valuation comply with legal and contractual requirements, including NAV oversight, errors and breaches pre-analysis and investigations, market conformity and lending checks
- Performing investment compliance controls using a dedicated IT tools and/or checklists
- Analyzing and documenting reported investment compliance exceptions. Participation to internal reporting activities to measure the quality of Depotbank operations
- Identifying and qualifying investment compliance breach including the origin of the incident
- Setting up and maintaining of funds master data
- Cooperation on the delivery operational service levels agreed with clients, internally and externally
- Supporting improvements of provided services by increasing their accuracy or convenience (e.g. manual steps limitations)
- Administer the effectiveness of daily operations in your area
- Complying with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
