Investment Banking Analyst – Global Banking Graduate Program
The Graduate Global Banking EMEA Program – Investment Banking track, is designed as a real experience accelerator to boost your professional development.
You will join BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking) through a rotational 12-month program. This means two 6 months rotation, including one in Paris, to allow you to better understand the different activities of investment banking most among: M&A, and Global Capital Markets environment.
What will your first 12 months look like?
You will be part of a cohort of European graduates recruited from different countries and sponsored by a member of the Global Banking EMEA Management Team.
Your journey will start with a specific two-week development program from the Investment Banking Academy, covering both technical and on soft skills. It will take place in the BNP Paribas training Campus in France, near Paris.
Then, for your first rotation, you will be joining one of the investment banking teams of your home country, either at the EAG or at Global Capital Markets – corresponding to the department you will then land permanently at the end of the program.
- EMEA Advisory Group (EAG): By joining EAG, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Mergers / Acquisitions (buy or sell-side, public or private). You will be involved in every step, from marketing to execution, and help prepare the required presentation materials for client pitches and transaction execution.
- Global Capital Markets: at Global Capital Markets, you will have the opportunity to join one of the following teams:
- Debt Markets: support companies and private equity clients of the bank, originating, structuring, and executing all DCM and syndicated loan transactions.
- Real Assets – Energy, Resources & Infrastructure (ERI): evolve within a wide range of specialized hedging, specialized financing and debt advisory activities in the energy, natural resources, infrastructure. Clients include corporates, sovereigns, financial sponsors, and institutional clients. The energy transition is at the core of the Real Assets strategy, in close collaboration with the newly created Low Carbon Transition Group.
Some examples of your assignments in these different positions:
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations and pitches to support the marketing effort,
- Carry out research on sectors and companies, analyze of operational benchmarks, valuation work, by synthesizing information from various sources,
- Perform financial and risk analyzes to facilitate discussions with the bank's internal partners, develop financial models,
- Contribute to the proper execution of projects (preparation of marketing materials and financial models, process management),
- Support the marketing of transactions including the development of the strategy, schedule, target investors, collection and analysis of comments,
- Participate in the training of interns working in the team,
- Interact with internal partners (legal, research, compliance).
And throughout the Graduate you will continue to benefit from an adapted development program.
After 6 months, you will start your second assignment in Paris, the Head Office. You will discover a second activity in investment banking: EAG if you first rotated within Global Capital Markets, or a Global Capital Markets business if you started the program within EAG.
After these two rotations, you will be assigned to your target role, as a permanent position; the one of your first rotation.
The missions are important, but so is the team and the work environment!
You will join the EMEA Advisory Group (EAG) and Global Capital Markets departments of Global Banking EMEA, within CIB.
Within the EAG, you will join a team of around 200 Junior Bankers, from Analyst to Vice President, who support the Directors and Managing Directors of M&A EMEA and Industry Groups. The team has its main hub in Paris with over 80 juniors and has geographic offices in Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, UK, Dubai, Netherlands, Switzerland and Portugal.
The Global Capital Markets platform (of which are part Debt Markets and Real Assets – Energy Resources & Infrastructure) is deployed throughout the EMEA region, with 650 employees, the main teams being in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan and Madrid. The Parisian teams bring together around 280 employees. The Global Capital Markets teams work closely with Industry Groups and M&A teams as well as Global Markets.
You will work within a very international and challenging environment.
During your rotation in Paris you will be based in a dynamic business district, near Opéra.
Are you our next Graduate Global Banking EMEA?
The Graduate program is intended for people with less than 2 years of professional experience from the date of graduation.
You have a master degree diploma from a business school, engineering school or university equivalent with solid knowledge in corporate finance and / or financial modeling, a first experience in M&A or Debt Markets (Leveraged Finance), or Project - structured finance such as internship, work-study and VIE, and a willingness to invest yourself fully in these demanding jobs.
You demonstrated your proactivity and your communication skills. You are rigorous and have a strong collaborative spirit? You are able to adapt quickly in a demanding environment? You are fluent in both French and English? You have good notions of Dutch? You constantly looking to improve your performance and your knowledge?
