Latin America is an important market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America and the Groups activity regionaly, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors for the business and for long standing relations with clients. For example, BNP Paribas has been uninterruptedly present in Colombia for more than 40 years.
BNP Paribas has a historical footprint in the Hispanic Latin America. The Bank has been in the region since 1914 and is now present in 5 countries with nearly 2000 employees between Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and Investment and Protection Services.

Job Purpose:
Executing controls and analyzing operational processes, to ensure all operations are compliant with the client instructions, service level agreements, relevant client services deadlines, internal procedures, and adherence to risk management guidelines, to protect against fraudulent activity, human error and offer to the organization a clearer awareness of their spending and limits.
This role liaises between cross-functional internal teams and is responsible for providing reports to internal areas and accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, billing, tax calculation, market prices, cash flows and others.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute the reconciliations of the different business lines related to Cash, securities, internal and external systems, as well as report the differences found.
- Reconciliate and apply in the tool the correct accounting movements of the Chile and Peru business to comply with the regulatory transmission of financial statements.
- Prepare internal reports and statistics as well as regulatory reports.
- Make the Billing Calculation process for different types of clients.
- Perform and control tax calculation related to the activity of Foreign Investors.
- Provide support to the Front Desk by delivering information of prices and the position held by the entity and clients.
- Provide excellent client service, considering the specific needs of every client.
- Ensure compliance with local and corporate policies, guidelines, procedures, internal control, and SLA requirements, to eliminate risk and operational losses.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow the code of conduct and to permanently update of the operative risk matrix.
- Ensure the coordination and the communication with the internal operations teams aiming to provide timely and accurate responses to internal client queries.
- If there is a delegation of the use of a token as a work tool, strictly comply with the instructions given for the use of it to perform the job, guaranteeing it´s safe custody and adequate use.
- Guarantee the maximum duty of diligence and care in the use of any work tools given by the employee for the fulfillment of their job obligations. Omitting the instructions on the due care and security in the use of work tools will be considered a serious breach of labor obligations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economy, Business Administration, or Industrial engineering or equivalent.
Specialized Knowledge
- Knowledge of financial industry, especially in back or middle office operations.
- Knowledge in Microsoft programs (Word, excel, Power Point)

Experience
- Between 1 – 3 years within the financial industry, especially in back or middle office operations
- Between 1– 3 years in control areas.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of policies and regulations related to Investment and Pension Funds
- Knowledge of products and regulation related to a Bank a Trust and/or Financial Corporation
- Experience with Swift, CUD, DCV, Deceval, BVC, SET FX and market systems.
