Overview of the opportunity
:The Advisory Latin America team based in Santiago, Chile is looking to hire a Active undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics with 1 or less years of professional experience in finance to join the team for a period of up to 6 months in Santiago. The Advisory Latin America team performs M&A advisory activities on local and cross-border transactions in all types of industries. This team originates and executes M&A mandates in the context of strategic acquisitions, mergers and leveraged buyout transactions in the Southern Cone (Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay).
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the origination and execution of Mergers and Acquisitions transactions
- Prepare and produce marketing materials for the execution of the projects;
- Support in building detailed financial models;
- Carry out business valuations using commonly used valuation methodologies;
- Conduct specific research on industries and companies;
- Provide general support to the team as requested.
Required professional and personal competences
- Active undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Solid financial skills.
- Understanding of capital structures (debt versus equity) and business valuation concepts.
- Understanding on basic financial modeling.
- Experience in using Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
