Front Office - Passive Currency Overlay Assistant (H/F)
6 months placement starting mid-June 2025 until mid-December 2025
You will need to have an internship agreement for the whole period of the internship
CONTEXT & ENVIRONEMENT
Your internship will be within the Managed FX and Overlay Solutions (MFOS) department.
You will be working alongside the team in charge of the Passive Currency Overlay Management (PCO) or known otherwise as “Share Class & Asset Hedging”. Our activity consists in:
- Production Management on behalf of our existing clients : Market data reception and analysis, hedge calculations and FOREX executions
- Management of the On Boarding process for both new prospects and existing clients, new and additional business
- Constant enhancement and upgrade of the production process through periodic launches of new functionalities
The internship will allow you to develop your technical knowledge and critical thinking in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You’ll begin with an orientation of the Passive Currency Overlay business’s activity. You’ll enjoy unique experiences discovering the fund industry, while learning about our business, positioned at the heart of market finance. You’ll also focus on building communication skills and strengthening core competencies.
YOUR MISSION
Your missions will be mainly focused on the Passive Currency Overlay daily production process, and in particular:
- Ensuring that the PCO service is delivered to all clients with the best quality, in a coordinated effort with the full production team,
- Engaging into a strict application of the FX hedging strategy defined by clients, calculating the necessary FX hedging orders and ensuring they are executed in the markets,
- Working in close collaboration with traders for orders execution (forward, swap),
- Analyzing different mechanisms, risks and challenges,
- Engaging in different transversal projects (Ex: Performance Attribution report, new product implementation…). Project selection will be done in close cooperation with your manager and will depend on your skills and areas of competence.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bac +4/5 student from an Engineering school, University or Business school (preferably with a Market Finance specialization)
- Strong interest and knowledge of financial markets (Money Market, FOREX, conformity, portfolio management)
- Fluency in French and English, any other language is a plus
- Rigorous, dynamic and proactive candidate with good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate critical thinking and have good writing skills
- Good knowledge of Excel, VBA/programming, Bloomberg would be a plus
