In practice, your day-to-day

  • As a Data Scientist you will use data analytical and visualization techniques to solve business issues in different geographies:
    1. You will be able to produce and optimize data analytics models/tools; 
    2. Together with the development team you will ensure high-level of scalability for our engines and ensure code optimization (RAM, cores, any IT resource) to have light engines;
    3. Run python-based analytical engines (Direct marketing, inbound marketing, Search) on a regular basis (monthly, weekly, daily) to serve countries and automate these run phases;

  • Welcome to BNP Paribas Personal Finance, where you will integrate the HUB Analytics Marketing, an innovative and creative department based in Lisbon and Porto. In both locations we offer a hybrid work model.
  • You will report hierarchically to the Team Leader. The marketing side of the Hub has 3 mid-sized teams (Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Python developers), working together on complex challenges.
  • The team is new and everyone is growing together. You'll be surrounded by more than 30 colleagues working in the same field as you, sharing ideas and experiences.
  • We are prepared to welcome you with an initial onboarding plan, with on the job training, online learning and networking opportunities.

Are you the one we are looking for?

  • Do you have a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field?
  • Do you have strong programming and scripting skills (Python), academic knowledge about machine learning, statistical analysis (AB testing, significance tests, etc.) and quantitative analysis skills?
  • Do you have knowledge of development pipelines (git, CI/CD) and agile tools (Jira), databases (relational and graph – Vertica, oracle, SQL server), experience with ETL, knowledge of BI/visualization tools (Tableau Software, PowerBI)?
  • Do you have good skills on collaboration, communication, adaptability and initiative spirit, high focus on delivery, with detail-oriented mindset?
  • Do you have fluency in oral and written English?
  • Are you open for occasional travel in Europe?
