Position Purpose

Cardif Japan is looking for his new business analyst dedicated to its IT digital team. This is a key role at the crossroads of several `missions` for driving digital transformation, implementing our digital strategy, interactions between business and IT development teams
The `IT digital` department is 1 of the 4 IT departments under CIO`s responsibility and is the most exposed to partners and clients.
The scope encompasses Cardif Japan digital applications serving our partners and clients as per our distribution models. There are 4 applications in scope and 1 platform that serves various needs.
The 4 applications are in run mode but are expected to be migrated to more modern technologies within 2 years.
The platform is already live and in run mode, but is also under development for enhancements, new features and new onboard partners. The goal is to provide best-in-class services from subscription to claims for our clients and partners and consolidate our position of CPI leader, while building a difference to attract new partners from other business lines.
These applications represent 50% of our IT budget project for 2025 and beyond. They are a pillar of our business strategy for business consolidation and business growth.
There are about 8 internal team members , and amongst them there is another business analyst. We also have external vendors locally and offshore. Since Cardif Japan is part of a big financial group, lots of activities are done by other stakeholders across BNP Paribas group and a clear and reliable communication in English and Japanese is a key to success.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Understand and analyse the business line’s needs in one or more functional areas, with the aim of developing the IS with appropriate and sustainable solutions that are consistent with the entity’s strategic plan and the associated portfolio of requests.
- Contributes to preliminary studies in liaison with the business line
- Ensure that the solution meets the requirements set out to cover the business line’s needs
- Clarifies, performs critical and constructive analysis and, where appropriate, compares the business
- Act as the contact person within the project or maintenance teams and for the business line in relation to data and functional aspects.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive digital excellence. Proven leadership in digital transformation and expertise in emerging technologies are essential.
- Ensures that the solution meets the requirements set out to cover the business line’s needs
- Formalises the expression of needs and ensures it is approved by the business line
- Defines, formalises and obtains approval of the requirements set out to cover the expression of need
- Carries out or helps with the test activities within his/her functional scope
- Supports the business line in carrying out user tests
- Helps to identify business line impacts generated by the solution and with the development of action plans
- Acts as the contact person within the project and/ or maintenance teams and for the business line in relation to data and functional aspects
- Shares knowledge about his/her area of expertise and provides functional support, participates in meetings to improve business analyst works across the company
- Carries out reporting in accordance with the operating rules and practices defined for the scope
This position reports to the IT department head of the digital team, and includes the management of the junior business analyst.
