Position Purpose
IT Business Analyst for GM Non-US Corporate Actions (CoA) processing platform
The team comprises developers & business analysts, with testers & production support staff in the ecosystem but not in the direct remit of this role.
This role is to be an IT Business Analyst on the core GM Non-US Corporate Actions IT application accountable to the Global Product Lead of Corporate Actions IT. There will be significant face off to users across multiple time zones.
The candidate will be playing a critical role within an in-house application that sits at the center of processing Corporate actions (CoA) for bank’s own books as well as external clients across multiple business lines. Processing of a Corporate Action involves analyzing the type of event, calculating the eligible position, applying the event to the position and finally notifying clients of the impact on the positions held. Post processing the event, the application has to communicate with relevant accounting and payment systems to ensure the books are kept up-to-date, and payments are sent to custodians as per the event. The uniqueness of the tool is the ability to process CoAs end-to-end. The role provides opportunities in abundance to understand the trade flows, market flows and events flows across multiple business lines.
Responsibilities

- Gather and Analyse business requirements / user requirements
- Propose efficient solutions
- Write functional specifications & test scenarios
- Support Developers
- Identify dependencies and coordinate with other teams when required
- Report on progress within and outside the team
- Write and execute test plans
- Organize UAT phases
- Deliver users guides
- Liaise with IT, Users, other Project Managers and Business Analysts

Specific Qualifications
- An IT Engineering or MBA degree equivalent
- At least 5 years of work experience as an IT Business Analyst in a Capital Markets environment
