Job Title: AVP -Rates Exotics Trade Support

Department: Markets Operations ( FXMM‑OTCD)


About Business line/Function:
The FX MM OTC business line drives the origination, execution and post‑trade processing of all over‑the‑counter foreign‑exchange and money‑market transactions across the bank’s global client base. It delivers end‑to‑end trade lifecycle services—including confirmation, collateral management, DVP settlement and exception handling—while adhering to the highest standards of risk control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Leveraging a unified technology platform and a worldwide network of clearing partners, the team ensures seamless, timely and secure settlement outcomes that underpin BNP Paribas’s liquidity and pricing capabilities in the FX‑MM markets.

Position Purpose:

The Rates Exo trade support team’s key responsibility is ensuring hundred percent accuracy of the transaction initiated by the trading after execution. In this very specific position in the operation chain trade support will liaise with several teams such as FO, documentation, settlement BO, collateral, PnL reporting factory, anti-fraud, compliance, IT, accounting etc

Our mandate is to transform the post execution chain into a safer process with a harmonized and industrialized platform by increasing efficiency and reducing the operation risk. Our mandate is also driven by the satisfaction of our external and internal clients

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

· The Rates Exo Trade Support officer is directly responsible for all the transactions booked in the Rates front to back chain to ensure trades are accurately booked.

· Trade validation in FO system (MAD & Power) and trade capture/validation in Murex.

· Trade event processing: life cycle event, expiry, unwind, upsize, novation etc

· Risk monitoring, contribute to remediation plan, escalate issues to his management all issues faced

· Strong knowledge on Structured products like Bermudan callable swap, FX swaps & Options, Structured Deposit, Notes. Facility Swap, Range Accruals, cross currency swap etc

· FOBO trade and cash reconciliations.

Contributing Responsibilities

· Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives (process automation, control enhancements, AI adaptability).

· Support onboarding and knowledge‑transfer within team.

· Able to demonstrate and apply strong risk and control mindset.

· Improve and maintain SLA’s and contribute on KPI/KRI’s.

· Monitor, track and provide feedback on teams BAU performance for junior staff (AM/Analysts)

Specific Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or related field.

· Minimum 12+ years in operations preferably in Global market derivative middle office operations.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
