Position Purpose
The OTC & LD Trade Validation – Credit team manages middle‑office activities for both flow and exotic structured credit products. In this role, you will:
- Validate and process credit trades efficiently.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Front Office (FO), Back Office (BO), and Middle Office teams.
- Provide timely support to the front‑office credit trading desks and address internal and client‑facing inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of flow and exotic credit product trades.
- Monitor and resolve issues in Front Office and Back Office system queues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Front Office, Back Office, Sales, and Trading teams.
- Apply problem‑solving techniques to resolve trade‑booking and flow discrepancies.
- Act as point‑of‑contact for trading desks, escalating trade or booking issues as needed.
- Work with internal teams to clear trade‑related breaks and queries.
- Respond to and resolve inquiries from clients, Front Office, and other internal groups.
- Manage all questions concerning instrument static data.
Supporting Responsibilities
- Foster collaborative links with Front Office, Back Office, and Middle‑Office colleagues worldwide.
- Maintain open communication with local and regional management.
- Contribute ideas to projects and process‑enhancement initiatives.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Candidate must be a bachelor’s degree holder with a degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Treasury Management or any other related field of studies.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and derivatives (swaps, futures, options). Preference for exposure to credit products and related systems.
- High attention to both financial and operational controls.
- Advanced MS Excel; quick learner of new software applications.
- Able to work under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and function both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable interfacing with Sales, Trading, Accounting, Technology, and other Middle Office functions.
- Ability to analyze, organize and report efficiently.
