Job Title: Associate

Department: Real Asset – Alt Credit

About Business line/Function: The Real Asset team will focus on Securitized & Structured Assets (SSA) Portfolio Management Support; Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) - Portfolio Data Analytics; Corporate Credit (CC) - Leverage Loan Fund Reporting; Credit (CC) – Leverage Loan Database Management; specifically in support of Structured Finance functions.

Position Purpose: The Secured Finance CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) team takes information to create monthly dashboards and a SCOPE list for activities. They also perform relevant tasks related to individual deals and update status in the relevant cells of a process dashboard.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition: Monthly retrieval of critical CDO documentation (Note Valuation Reports, Trustee Reports, Offering Memorandums, etc.) from trustee websites and emails
  • Database Management: Uploading and maintaining account, collateral, and test files within the PHOBOS database
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implementing control checks to ensure data integrity and investigating discrepancies before escalating to the AXA IM team
  • Trustee Liaison: Managing access requests and coordinating with Trustees for all new CDOs added to the portfolio
  • Pre-Trade Support: Assisting with primary market investments by gathering data from Intex and completing guideline templates
  • Performance Analytics: Evaluating CLO Manager trading capabilities by analyzing initial vs. final portfolios via Intex to determine added value
  • Portfolio Reporting: Generating monthly reports for the CRM and various entities, including the Novalto CLO Credit Fund and Vorsorge
  • Lifecycle Maintenance: Handling "Reset & Refinance" weekly tracking and creating new CLO deal instruments/mappings in PHOBOS
  • Asset Tracking: Monitoring interim payments and managing weekly collateral uploads for warehouse portfolios
  • Workflow Administration: Updating and maintaining a process dashboard and SCOPE list to track the status of individual deal activities

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage a high volume of monthly tasks across multiple entities using dashboards and scope lists
  • Attention to detail for performing control checks and ensuring that complex financial data is uploaded without error
  • Ability to investigate data gaps and determine if a discrepancy is a technical error or a financial event
  • Comfort in reaching out to external Trustees and internal stakeholders to secure access rights and clarify data
  • Compliance with local and global regulations and market standards
  • Flexibility to handle a wide variety of ad-hoc requests and varying reporting requirements for different clients
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk and control frameworks, participating in internal/external audits and various internal control testing

Expected Skills

  • A previous experience in a similar role is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), CDO structures, and trustee reporting
  • Proficiency with applications - Bloomberg, INTEX

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to perform control checks, investigate discrepancies and escalate appropriately
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA) and strong data-management experience
  • Ability to liaise with multiple internal and external parties
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail orientation; capable of managing competing deadlines
  • Ability to investigate data gaps independently and escalate issues only after thorough investigation
