Job Title: Assistant Manager

Department: CIB TPRM SSC - Ongoing monitoring & Projects

About Business line/Function: Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) TPRM Shared service center (SSC) based out of ISPL is focused on implementation of standardized and synergized global Target Operating Model (TOM) for Third Party Risk Management globally. The Target Operating Model is a consistent framework to meet stringent regulatory requirements leveraging a risk-based approach, unified processes and standardized tools.

Position Purpose: Ongoing Monitoring of third-party arrangements in TPRM SSC is a critical role with primary responsibility of:

· Assist in the effective monitoring and governance of all Third-Party arrangements, ensuring the timely completion of applicable risk assessments and that third-party suppliers are monitored in line with Group/ CIB/ Regulatory requirements.

· Support the implementation of the right set of controls (in line with global Target operating model requirements) for day-to-day operations of ISPL TPRM SSC and assist in verifying their effectiveness in the normal course of business.

· Support the monitoring of critical services for upcoming periodic risk reviews and assist in the data collection/preliminary assessment for ad hoc risk reviews triggered by market events.

· Assist in the maintenance and updating of important policies and procedures for ISPL TPRM SSC.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

· Perform periodic independent checks and evaluations of controls (defined in BNP Paribas Group Risk policies and CIB policies) around the Third-Party Risk Management process. Document findings and escalate gaps between results and expected outcomes.

· Governance – Assist in the preparation of materials and organization of meetings across the Global TPRM community to provide updates on monitoring adherence.

· Reporting Support – Assist in the preparation of content and data summaries for Senior Management, Risk SME’s, Audit, and Regulatory Representatives regarding control execution activities.

· Execute the TPRM BAU process including – assisting in the plan, identification, assessment, control, mitigation, testing, validation, and monitoring of third-party risks.

· Collaborate with the TPRM SSC Operations team to track BAU processes and ensure the timely completion of TPRM monitoring requirements across CIB global contracts.

· Reporting – Assist in the preparation of required management and regulatory reports.

Contributing Responsibilities

· Training – Assist in the onboarding of new resources regarding ongoing monitoring requirements and the wider TPRM TOM. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
Monitoring – Conduct regular reviews of assigned tasks and participate in periodic deep dives on specific areas of focus as directed by the leads.

  Technical & Behavioral Competencies

· General Risk management and Controls management awareness.

· Foundational knowledge of Internal Controls Testing/Internal Audit.

· Understanding of Third-Party Risk Management including Inherent and Residual Risks.

· Familiarity with Outsourcing Governance and Ongoing Monitoring.

· Familiarity with financial services, especially Third-party risk management, is an added advantage.

· Basic familiarity with Outsourcing Regulatory Requirements.

· Proficiency in Computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
