Position Purpose:
Developer will be part of NYBoss team. Team provides full life cycle development, testing and support for a range of back office and settlement related applications and web portals. The software is used internally, but globally. Developer will be working on various development projects, enhancements and supporting level 3 issues. Developer will coordinate with Project Manager’s to communicate status and report issues for development deliverables.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Feature Programming –Development and testing of new features for an application that distributes Fixed Income back office settlement. There are also a variety of portals that support settlements and its supporting function to traders and back-office user groups. Developers will be working on various development projects, enhancements. Work required in both Windows server processes and in IIS based web environments. There is some Java based code in addition to .NET.
- Level 3 Application Support – Working with users to diagnose data and application problems.
- Infrastructure Liaison – Work with the hardware infrastructure team to perform migrations to new application servers and databases when necessary.
- Develop and maintain assigned projects in .Net Framework/.NET Core and MS SQL. Tuning SQL Server queries, refactoring and reengineering SOA modules to business specification and programming standards.
· Provide architecture design for the assigned projects to cover development, testing, & deployment.
· Follow the internal procedures and the guidelines during project life cycle
· Participating in execution of integration & user acceptance testing
Coordinate w/ Project Manager to communicate status and report issues to the Business & IT management.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
· Proficiency in .NET framework/.Net Core, C# , Angular 14+
· Strong understanding of OOPS concepts, design patterns and SOLID principles
· Good knowledge on REST API , WCF services , Javascript , JQuery
· UI development using Angular 14+ framework.
· Have extensive experience in developing and managing Web applications using .NET Framework
· Introduce container-orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and microservices to the existing DEVOPs infrastructure for application scaling and management.
· Good experience with Microsoft SQL server, database objects and a database development tools such as DBArtisan or MS SQL Server.
· Review and provide architecture design for the assigned projects to cover development, testing, & deployment.
· Follow the internal procedures and the guidelines during project life cycle.
· Participate in execution of integration & user acceptance testing.
· Coordinate w/ Project Manager to communicate status and report issues to the Business & IT management.
· Possessing interpersonal and communication skills needed to coordinate and work effectively with a geographically and functionally diverse range of departments.
· Being able to work under pressure in a challenging environment, and to deal with confrontational situations. Able to manage relationships and negotiate in order to convince and find consensus.
· Pro-active in rearranging priorities and solving issues where requested. Has to be hands on, rigorous and methodical. Familiarity with other tools such as Sybase client, JIRA etc. for problem tracking.
